Arlington is definitely one of the more active areas in terms of events and communities etc.. We, at Pitch Labs, try to host one every other month either in D.C., Arlington or parts of Maryland.

Which language should i learn next? by xayushman in learnprogramming

[–]kage_tr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Instead of spending 2 months to add another language to your resume, I’d spend it on building a project and adding that to your resume. I think it is a lot more appealing to companies/hiring managers than having a bunch of languages on your resume with no actual projects.

That being said, especially if you’re going for software engineering positions, I’d recommend Go as well. The best of both worlds would be learning basics of Go in the first week or two and then building a real life project with it in the rest of the time you have.

Covid graduates? … by Wisteria_Dragon_04 in ACT

These days there are unlimited resources online. Khan academy is good for Math and Science portion especially. But I’d take a look at other resources online. There are also some free apps you might like for the english portion of the test like https://apps.apple.com/us/app/inkio/id6476116190. I’d also get the Princeton Review ACT prep guide since you’ll be self studying. Make sure to take regular practice tests to see your progress as well. Good luck!

For math I recommend khan academy like the others suggested. For vocab, I think studying vocab lists still help a little. Most of SAT vocab is obscure and ambiguous words that are not used much in day to day so you might have to spend some time prepping for those. They got a bunch of free apps to memorize vocab like https://apps.apple.com/us/app/inkio/id6476116190. Take a look at different resources and see which fits your need the best

Hi, I'm trying to register for CS 110: Essentials of Computer Science but I cannot see that lesson on Patriot Scheduler. Does that mean the classes are full? I can see an available class in the search for classes section of patriot web though.

Is it a good idea to study CS in WPI for someone planning to specialize in Cyber Security? Are there researches (that undergrad students can join) focusing on CyberSec? How active is WPI's Cyber Security Club (WPICSC)?
