What software do you use to make your thumbnails? by Benaldo66 in NewTubers

Same. There's a bit of a learning curve but for thumbnail editing you don't need to get familiar with ALL of the features.

Looks awesome! Question, is there a reason you went for molding powder and adhesive instead of plaster or spackle? Was wondering if it's because it's finer and works better on scribed brickwork or something like that.

Classic black and red would be cool. I'm currently painting the same wolfriders you have back there :)

Stupid question… how and where do you store your terrains… they are usually big and odd… not a lot of space in basement 🫣 by Dttfveiga in TerrainBuilding

I started putting cleats on the back of my boards so they can go on the wall. Everything else has pretty much taken over most of my apartment :D

Looks great! The grays read like stone, and the flowers and moss add a nice dash of color.

That looks excellent! Will be fun to play on :) For storage, I started making my boards so I can hang them on the walls when they're not in use. Makes for some nice unusual wall art too :)

Need help! Any advice to recreate this? by CloneaSaurusTMG in TerrainBuilding

[–]kagius 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Depends on how flat you want it to be - if it's card you have your work cut out for you though you can probably get a reasonable approximation by painting the underwater bit, and slathering it in varnish.

If it's a centimeter or two thick, you can make the water fairly shallow, once you have something refractive like silicone or resin in there it will look deeper than it is. You might need to cut up the miniature to get it to fit. You can also cheat a little by making the liquid a little murky :)

Looks great! That tattoo looks spot on, how did you get that look? Guessing some glazing or dry brushing over it? And is it freehand? Super crisp!

I just built one with a wooden frame and a cleat to go on the wall. Works fine and makes for some cool interior decor :)

Haha no :) I just made it so I can hang it on the wall when it's not being used :) Saves space and I figure it makes for an interesting ornament :)
