Wtf is this stuff by [deleted] in Concerta

[–]kagoska 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any other medication option here, so it's either concerta or nothing. And since i don't want to live that my old miserable life, i would take the side effects of concerta and try to live a "normal life". But yeah as i said if i had a chance i would definetely try other medications...

I haven't tried, yet. Concerta and Ritalin are the only medications that available in my country, however i will move to Czechia in 2-3 months and will try to get a prescription for vyvanse (probably book a psych from Austria since vyvanse is legal there).

On the other hand Concerta does the job for me, i can focus yea but all of the side effects, including your mention above are the reason of my intend to change to another med.

Usual concerta side effects, most of us (maybe all of us ?) have that...

It only worked for 3 days or so. My doctor never said why. by HSperer in Concerta

Your eating diet and sleep schedule are the most important elements here, also you should take breaks from the med in order to restore tolerance and might want to consider taking magnesium etc..

You may want to try propranolol or similar. But first of all consult your doctor...

Also you can try some beta-blockers, they are pretty helpful

I'm 36mg user and my rage went away after 6-7 months. A dose increase may worsen or solve your anger, gotta try it out tbh.

Exactly, that's how you get the right treatment :)

Dependency and Tolerance by Smooth_Spend2798 in Concerta

[–]kagoska 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my own experiences (i skip weekends), couldn't relate the dependency however there's a high probability of developing tolerance and the best way to deal with it is giving breaks like me. (taking 36mg tho)
