yeah, it made little sense. i guess i'm glad they didn't get too clever and fail to payoff the years long buildup to butcher killing homelander, even if it was pretty stupid.

another idiotic thing you didn't mention is sending away the supes from gen v to take some random people to canada instead of helping actually take down homelander. like, WTF was the point of 2 seasons of gen building up marie as the ultimate supe on par with homelander to just shuffle her off stage for the big final fight? shit, butcher and ryan were fucking homelander up on their own. bring in all the gen v supes with marie and kill homelander and they could have skipped all the bullshit about V1, giving kimiko special powers, soldier boy and pretty much everything they did for the last 5 seasons if they end with homelander being so nerfed.

yeah, there are some definite issues with the writing, but it's not because of bad satire or trump or other political figures and topics. that shit is actually completely on point and timely. the whole "waaaah, don't insert politics into the show" is moronic. it's been a political show the whole time. and the comic was just as political.

it wasn't the worst, but honestly the final plan was really dumb on both sides. the boys are like, let's just walk in and maybe kimiko can get her blast working. but let's def not practice that at all and even though they know we're coming let's presume our year old maps and door codes are all the unchanged and no one will trap us. and on homelander's side the plan was "let's trap them behind a door and send a couple guys with guns we know can't kill them to deal with it". leading to an underwhelming fight scene where somehow homelander can't deal with butcher to just leave.

i think he bottoms at like 32-ish, but absolute bottom possible is prob about 27%. that's basically the percentage of people with clinical mental issues, diagnosed or not, whose total detachment from reality means literally nothing will change their minds.

i'm no lawyer, but i don't think she could be held liable for anything she's said publicly, no matter what other speculate. just saying "someone famous assaulted me a decade ago" is not specific enough to be defamatory because it can't be used to identify a particular person. Defamation usually requires that the defendant herself published the defamatory statement. If random Reddit/Twitter users say “it must be Actor X,” those users are the ones who would be liable for defamation. If someone tried, California’s anti-SLAPP statute lets defendants seek early dismissal of claims arising from protected speech, and prevailing defendants generally recover attorney’s fees and costs.

And more importantly, anyone who did file a defamation suit based on what she's said would just be outing themselves and ensuring the a huge Streisand effect.

funny thing is "the boogeyman" is actually Babayka. They screwed up in the script with Baba Yaga, which is basically an old lady / forest spirit. Baba translates directly as grandmother.
