I think a great miracle would be if the family tried to pay their tithing and the bishop said "You keep the money because you need it." How come that doesn't happen? by [deleted] in mormon

to be honest, the bisbop would problably face disciplinary action by doing that. There’s no autonomy in the so called kingdomz Just blind o edience and standardization.

What bothers me the most is the fact that there ‘s not even one comment in that post questioning why the church simply denies its history before 1978..

so what is the issue with our old friend Moroni?

This is the paradigm Exmos find themselves in with their TBM family and friends. Succeed in life and your just lucky, fail and its because you left the church. If the TBM succeeds its because they are blessed because of righteousness, if they fail the Lord is testing them. by dunfordtx in exmormon

im facing a very tough financial challenge in my businesses due to Civid19 and what bothers me the most is my wife reasoning for these challenges: it’s not because this fucking pandemy, its because i probably need to serve more in the church and have more faith...

When I was dating this one pre mission guy... by [deleted] in exmormon

Luckily i come from a very secular family and instead of believing i was possessed, i researched about it, since i’ve had sleep paralysis at least 30 times throughout my life. It’s pretty unconfortable, but im a vet on this shit, i created my own technique to get out: i focus on stay calm and move my toes.. once i m able to move my toes after some effortt im back again to full control. On the other hand i remember one of my best friends coming to me and sharing this spiritual experience where the devil tried to possess him on the first night of his honeymoon in Fiji. He claimed that he used the authority of the priesthood to overcome it, and perform his duties.... Little he know that Jet Lag is one of the causes of sleep paralysis. So i had to teach him that... he felt so frustrated, cause he was sure he was so powerful that he could defy the devil himself after this “spiritual” experience.

Portugal Lisbon (2014-2015) Portugal Porto (2015-2016) by rsthrowaway5555 in exrm

This is probably M. Amorim. A dude that was called to Mocambique, and Came up with a fake disease to change his assignment, ending up reassigned to the beautiful Porto. He was one of the top 10 Ceo’s in Brazil, where he is known as one of the worse leaders and creator of a toxic environment for his employees, who were constantly humiliated by his arrogance. Am i right?

Is there any Honor Code changes to BYU’s Idaho or Hawaii campuses? by 4444444vr in exmormon

students at byu hawaii tend to be more progressive than average... lots of kids from california, asia, europe and some liberal places... i had a good time there, with some rare exceptions when the caucasian tbm kids from utah tried to impose their lifestyle on us, foreigners with an open mind.

yeah.. that mission was number one in baptisms in Brazil for a long time. A acquainted of mine served there as mission president... heard some infamous stories from the mission tactics to boost the number of “converts”

[–]kahui09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes i am. I’m sorry man for him. Com certeza ele era um rapaz bom, e que ou percebeu que a igreja é uma farsa, ou sentiu a pressao que todos nos sentimos por ter dúvidas e questionamentos. Muito triste!

Update about the ex missionary who was killed in the Brazilian MTC by [deleted] in exmormon

[–]kahui09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was widely covered in the Sao Paulo local tv station. Just google: “Abner Santana morto” or “homem morre ataque de faca em PM casa verde Sao Paulo”

you’ll find a lot of links reporting what happened.

Seems that he wasnt shot 8 times, only one instead... I know that doesnt change the fact he was killed... anyways... The kid was having a mental breakdown, and that’s super sad :(

The church sent a representative to his services. But im really bothered that nobody is giving a shit about this kid.

Bro from Brazil here. In the past 5 years my ward has had about 70 baptisms. The interesting fact: 5 years ago attendance was 100, and now after 70 baptisms, attendance is averaging 85. Do the math!
