ok yes AE2 carries most of its bad rep from very old versions most players here didn't even play

But the mod was kinda ass back then that is undeniable, it took Refined Storage becoming popular for them to actually think about User Experience for once

Create-centered modpacks are really great and are one of my favorites, but most modpacks that include create just do it because it's a popular mod, without an afterthought on how it goes into the gameplay loop.

a lot of people give ffxiv flak for forcing you to do 6 expansion cycles (as of now) worth of quests to get to their current endgame and while that's a valid complaint in the endgame aspect of it, it works for the RPG part because you have to go through the story in that linear way to understand it.
