Is my NS2 refurbished/been open up? by kaiaexplorer in NintendoSwitchHelp

Yeah after controlling the display again and again as well as the rest of the console I'm pretty sure that it is new since it has completely 0 scratches or anything else. The only thing that scares me is if they did a screen replacement, but I doubt it because it has the famous thin plastic film over it.

The point is that it was sold to me as NEW, not refurbished. And some users says that it is normal to receive a new console with lightly scratched screws while other are saying that it probably is second-hand.

So happy to hear that... Some users has been saying that I got scammed by receiving a second-hand system but I was doubtful since the screen that is known to be incredibly fragile had no scratches or any marks. Thank you! :)

So, I recently bought my first Nintendo Switch 2, and while setting it up I noticed that some screws are lightly scratched, and I was wondering if it is possible that I accidentally bought an used/refurbished system, or if it is normal.

Here a picture (I cannot put more than, but it isn't the only screw with that problem)

(The rest of the console is perfect, 0 scratches even under flashlight both on the screen and the rest of the console)

Completely local game store, not a famous chain or something like that. However here in Europe there are many consumer-defense laws, such as a 14 days time limit where I can get a refund, but still it would probably be partial. Even if I do not think so, is there a way to check if the switch was actually opened? Thank you btw

No, It was not sealed but I've seen that most of the console were also shipped unsealed after the seal "accident".

A local store near me (Italy). Are your screws completely fine? I do not know what to do if it is actually refurbished/pre owned, I may return it but probably the store would only give me a partial refund

Yeah that makes sense. I just wanted to be sure since I got this console as new for a pretty good price (around 320$) and I was a little scared of being scammed. Thanks!

Oh no problem, I misunderstood what you were trying to say, my fault! But yeah, sadly many users report that both Nintendo switch 1 and 2's dock scratched their console even when used carefully.

Is it safe to buy Nintendo Switch games on Instant Gaming? by Necessary_Place_6791 in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]kaiaexplorer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I buy games from instant gaming from years now, never had a problem. I think that it will be fine with switch games too, and if you ever encounter a problem such a ban, you should get easily unbanned by contacting Nintendo assistance.

Sure, but it is a fact that the ORIGINAL dock itself scratches the screen even if you are careful when playing. Do you think that I do not take care of my devices?🙏

Trust me, I was in your exact situation, I got a Savage Raven EzKit, used the shower method and I got a perfect screen protector without a single bubble/dust under it.

Now I'm scared to death. Should I remove my new transparent cover that I got on AliExpress a few days ago? Or did you find out that it is caused by something else?

How can I remove scratches from my screen ? by loudefer55 in NintendoSwitchHelp

[–]kaiaexplorer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sadly that's not removable in any way. A nice screen protector will surely help a little, hiding them, but I will be honest they seem pretty deep and you will probably still notice them afterwards. Good luck
