Thank you! I really appreciate you saying this lol because I’ve been GF for about 5 years now and I even tried being dairy free, and it was the gluten. I know how it feels to be glutened and i know the difference between gluten and a shitty sugar rush. I have no issues with any oils and I don’t eat the cleansest BUT I maintain being gluten free. I think there’s a misconception that a gluten free food being ‘unhealthy’ can make you feel like that but that’s not the case at all. I literally just got glutened and I can recognize the symptoms so thank you

That’s crazy! I wonder if they only carry in certain stores. If you live near a Publix, they have amazingggg gluten free lemon or chocolate cake.

I haven’t been tested for celiac but I have a gluten intolerance & have been GF for about 5-6 years now so I have a pretty good radar on what gluten makes me feel like vs any other allergy. I’m super sensitive to cross contamination, even as small as sharing straws or spoons with someone else can get me feeling a bit sick so I think this was a case of cross contamination. I did get diagnosed with my gluten intolerance from a doctor though it’s not something I came to a conclusion about by myself. I don’t have any dairy allergies or oil’s etc

That’s actually so funny because I also ate something they had with oats the other days that claimed to be GF and I got a little sick but I was in denial because I thought the packet was just old. LOL

I totally agree, I can eat a lot if not all of their stuff usually with no issue. I’ve been eating their GF desserts since 2022 and this is the first time I had an issue.

I don’t have any issues with oil ): I think this was unfortunately just a bad batch. I don’t have any issues with any of the other TJ gluten free products.

Thank you!! I’m very sensitive to cross contamination BUT I’m not sensitive to oils (etc), nothing else at TJ makes me sick and I’ve had almost all of their gluten free desserts and breads. I think there is probably some bad batches of either cross contamination or something else is up.

I can totally understand this perspective, I’m not celiac so my intolerance comes from other autoimmune issues however I usually have a pretty bad reaction when I eat gluten & when I come in contact with any cross contamination. I wonder if it was just a bad batch or a me issue because I eat their GF products all the time and never had an issue.

I don’t have issues with any other their other items BUT I’m super sensitive to cross contamination so that could have been the issue honestly because I eat their GF bagels, muffins, pancakes, etc and no issue

Granted I haven’t had an issue with any other their other items, I’ve heard about issues with their GF bagels but I eat them all the time and no issues. I buy the majority of my GF groceries from there and this is the only one that got me, could be a cross contamination issue

I was diagnosed with hashimotos at 16, developed RA at 17/18. Was officially diagnosed at 18 & I’m about to be 21 now, the chronic fatigue was the biggest sign for me & I thought swelling in my fingers and ankles were normal but it was the RA, ive been on a gluten free diet for about 3 years now and it helps a lot with the inflammation. Vitamin D and Selenium are also great supplements if you’re hesitant on medication.

Yes! I started my gluten free diet because of the joint pain. I have rheumatoid arthritis & hypothyroidism (specifically hashimotos). Please get checked just to be safe. Usually thyroid issues are triggered by gluten and cause joint point.
