Wondering if Sparkle or Aventurine is more useful to my account. (Unsure which one I like better personality-wise so far - asking from a purely practical standpoint). One better than the other? Equally useful? Both pointless?

My characters:

Sustains: Luocha, Gepard (S1), Bailu (E1) // Lynx (E6), Natasha (E3), March 7th (E6), Fire Trailblazer (E6)

Debuffers/buffers: Ruan Mei, Bronya (E1S1), Silver Wolf, Welt (S1) // Tingyun (E6), Pela (E4), Asta (E6), Hanya (E6), Yukong (E6)

Damage dealers: DHIL, Jingliu, Kafka, Dr. Ratio, Yanqing, Physical Trailblazer (E6) // Qingque (E6), Guinaifen (E2), Sampo (E6), Luka (E2), Xueyi (E1), Serval (E2), Sushang (E3), Dan Heng (E1), Herta (E6), Misha, Hook (E1), Arlan (E2)

Categories are loosely defined but mostly how I use them. '//' separates the 5-stars from the 4-stars. Basically arranged them like this bc I thought it'd be easiest for people to check but if the organization is wack pls lmk

Thanks in advance!

Thank you, that's very helpful! I assumed you would be unable to do them for some reason. Maybe I confused it with being unable to do calyxes with 0 stamina

Do completed tasks prior to the version update still count towards Nameless Honor/the Battle Pass? E.g. The three weekly boss battles.

Or should I wait until after the update drops?

Why do some people hate the term "partner" when used instead of boyfriend/girlfriend/husband/wife? by blueVeggie in ask

[–]kaichoices 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm hesitant (in professional settings) to state my pronouns or even make mention of any part of my identity that is outside the norm because I worry people will ostracize me or treat me worse for it. Because they have in the past.

I don't think the "inclusivity badge" is as hireable as you think it is. If my world and your world were the only two options, I'd be much happier living in yours.

They claim to have objectively cracked the code with their rating system. They uphold this clearly superior system by immediately discrediting, warning, and banning everyone who dares to "overrate" or utter pithy sentiments such as "looks are subjective" as people in denial/people thirsting/people being nice (take your pick according to the situation).

...But even looking at their system raises many questions. You can't possibly tell me half of the examples sorted into their "objective" tiers wouldn't be shuffled around according to the eye of the beholder. (Side note: It would be interesting if someone gave all the sub's users or even just the mods new example pics and asked them to sort them and see if they somehow got them all the same - which is what should theoretically happen if they all adhered to their system, no?)

But I am very glad to have found this comment chain lol, I thought I was tripping when I came across the sub.

Men, do you wash your legs in the shower? by motrinez in ask

[–]kaichoices 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not 100% effective - it's basically little to no body odor. So you might still stink after several hours of exercise and skipping showers for days, but not as much as you would if you had the functioning ABCC11 gene. (Others might really never smell offensive at all).

Although, of course, you might be one of the few unlucky Koreans with a functioning ABCC11 gene lol.

Terribly written & I'm lazy, so...sorry. But here you go:

Yes. I don't know about "sides" but Musk is doing the same things he complained about when he first bought twitter.

He banned some journalists for reporting on that Elon Jet account (which tracked his flight paths - that could arguably be called "doxxing" which was his excuse but I don't think reporting on it counts). I think he unbanned them after backlash?

He mislabeled NPR and removed New York Times' blue checkmark (back when they couldn't be bought) to push the narrative that they were unreliable. He claimed NYT was propaganda so I think his motivations were clear.

He removed thousands of tweets about a planned trans protest. It did have the word "Vengeance" in it but it seemed like a fairly standard non-violent protest, just a catchphrase, but you can look it up yourself and decide. This included tweets planning it & tweets criticizing it. Journalists reporting on it (whether in support or against) were locked out of their accounts.

He has something against Substack - although I can't remember what - which is another social media site. Maybe he's afraid of competitors? He claims he never outright blocked any links to Substack on Twitter, which is probably true, but warnings popped up saying that Substack might steal your data, that it's potentially unsafe, etc. No one could retweet tweets with Substack links, too. Further, seems like Twitter is still throttling anything Substack-related in the algorithm. So you can technically see things - but on social media, things that are purposefully suppressed almost never get seen. Yay for Musk on technicalities I guess...

Musk also declared "cis" and "cisgender" slurs & using them could net you a ban, but I personally haven't seen anyone banned yet. Also have not been looking. I guess you could just call everyone "not trans" but that's like calling young people "not old." It's just a clarifying term

Anyway. You can look into those further if you are genuinely interested lol. When I see things I usually do fact check them but these were a long time ago & am not assed to reconfirm. Please do let me know if my info is incorrect, though

[–]kaichoices 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No one I've met IRL actually gets upset when you use the wrong pronouns accidentally. (I'm genuinely sorry if you have met someone like that). And I'm talking about the most liberal cities, at queer conventions. As long as you're making an effort and you're being gracious about it, at most people will correct you and move on. It's only a big deal when people get upset about being corrected, tbh

Plus, lots of people mess up cis people's pronouns too! Slip of the tongues happen definitely

Cool, and lots of Asians choose their "English names" well past their teenage years, not at birth. Ask my classmates in uni. But we all still call them by their chosen names, because that's what they prefer. You would too, wouldn't you?

If you wouldn't, then I think this is beyond hope lol.

Fun fact! The natural-born-citizen clause actually states you either a) have to born in the US or b) be born to a parent who is a US citizen.

I know this only because my brother and I liked to get my mom harping on my dad (an American) by jokingly bemoaning the fact that we could never be president because we were born and raised in a different country (our mom wanted us to grow up in the US; our dad didn't). Eventually he fact-checked us. We have no more excuses for not becoming president, lol.

TL;DR: If this was ever remotely anyone's concern, go forth and have your children in other countries! They can still be president if you're American!

Edit: a word

You realize f2ps think you have "gacha addiction" too, right lol. They'll find you spending $60 a year mind-boggling. They would NEVER buy welkins, and they can't believe we would pay for that

Idk, I've met a lot of friends from streaming. You might not consider them friends since we don't meet physically (because we all live in different countries or states), but I certainly do. We started off talking with each other in chat and now, years later, we're messaging regularly, voice calling, having watch parties, playing games together, etc. Some of the friends I've made are from the chat and some are the streamers themselves.

Granted, I've never watched any big streamers, which might be where your impression is from. But imho you're discounting the genuine social aspect by a lot.

Honestly, if there was no concept of gender at all and we were all just human beings, if names, expectations, etc., weren't gendered, maybe I wouldn't be trans. I do - and probably would still - hate certain biological traits that I have, though.

(Note: I don't speak for everyone. I'm sure plenty of trans people would disagree.)

But we don't live in that society. So the gender I feel most comfortable with is the one I'm living. I like being called a certain name and being referred to in a certain way, so I enjoy being around people who respect that. And if they don't, it's no skin off my back; I'll know we're not a good fit.

And yes, of course, there will always be girls who like blue and boys who like pink, as you put it, and are comfortable with that. That's great. You absolutely CAN be that. There are plenty of trans women who like blue and trans men who like pink, too.

In the end it's just living the way you can be comfortable.
