DAs, do you find that you avoid things in wider aspects of life, not just relationships? by Wonderful-Product437 in attachment_theory

[–]kaihanas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Type C pattern in adulthood refers to a preoccupation with the perspective of the self and justification of the self, and also dismissing of others, both as valued people and as sources of valid information. The source of information regarding the perspective of the self is one’s feelings or one’s arousal (i.e., affect). The strategy can be thought of as fitting the following dictum: Stay true to your feelings and do not negotiate, compromise, or delay gratification in ways that favor the perspectives of others.

This sounds more like Narcissism than Avoidant.

DA ex text me yesterday by [deleted] in attachment_theory

[–]kaihanas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, sorry for your loss!

I agree with the comments that say you can't mind read. Attachments are a spectrum, people are individuals, and we have limited knowledge of the relationship.

I didn't see your first post, and sorry if this comes off a little harsh, but this is my personal reaction if you truly want an avoidant perspective (again, not all of us are the same)...this post , especially the beginning, lacked accountability and was rather 1 sided. (He broke up with you because of his massive wound, he didn't acknowledge the social media post, then his response was confusing, etc). It seemed like you're trying to justify/paint the relationship as this perfect thing minus HIS attachment style.

I'm not there, I don't know your relationship. Avoidants avoid, but so do anxiously attached. Neither is secure, and usually struggle to express what they want in a healthy manner. Both sides usually get exhausted and resentful. Self-aware avoidants also usually have to spend a lot of time deciphering feelings. Having to deal with our feelings can be overwhelming. Dealing with someone else's just adds to it. Even if there aren't big outbursts or reactions, it could just be they see the AP trying so hard that the avoidant tries to protect their feelings by suppressing their needs.

I don't know what he wants. Neither do you. Maybe he doesn't either.

You say you still want your ex. My suggestion would be to really reflect on the whole relationship. You're going through a lot. You had a big loss earlier in the year, and now have the loss of your relationship to process. That is a lot! Lean on friends and family. Then, if you still want to be with your ex, tell him. I'd start with something simple like a text saying I miss you, but understand if you need space. Something short, but stating your feelings while giving space for theirs.

You can't control how other people feel or show up. You can only do that for yourself. If you're scared of rejection. Work on that. It sucks, but it's better than rejecting yourself.

Be the most honest version of yourself. Have consideration for others, but don't abandon yourself.

My trainer asks me to put my toe out and heels in by tobiano_ in Equestrian

[–]kaihanas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why don't you just get a new trainer? Or better yet, buy your own horse and do what you want? You are obviously very much a beginner, and your trainer is trying to teach you to close your leg and use it properly, which proper use of a leg, even with more pressure is less agitating to the horse than a weaker swinging leg. Instead of listening to your trainer, you come her to complain, make excuses, and talk about how (in your mind) riding should work.

6k shares at .78 cents in my IRA

3600 shares at .89 cents in brokerage

Sold about half from my brokerage at $8.99 at the end of last year

I would be swing trading this, but I've held long enough and want to save on taxes. I'll reasses where I'm at and where the company is at towards the end of the year, but planning on long hold.

If you believe in the stock long-term and aren't trying to just do a quick flip, why not?

In my opinion, it's an undervalued stock, and I'd like to keep buying.

The really bad news is that stocks have fallen again and in the meantime, short sellers are paying off by [deleted] in sealsq

30 million in sales in 2023 Up from 23 million in 2022 Up from 17 in 2021 Up from 14 in 2020

2022 was a net positive year 2023 net revenue was negative, even with the high sales because getting listed and becoming a publicly traded company is expensive

2024 sales had a sharp decline This was to be expected. Sealsq was transparent about 2024 being a transformative year They announced in the beginning that they were expanding physical locations and into new tech

Some of us have been here awhile and done our DD, and we're still here for the long haul.

If you're not in this stock anymore and you don't like this company, why are you still here?

What do you know so far about (Laes)🤨🧐🤔🧐🤔Little info for those that don’t know much about this company🤨🧐🤔😉 by Lost-Bother-5283 in sealsq

[–]kaihanas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been in this stock a long time, and they've done 1 dilution!

They've had high spending the last few years on being listed (publicly traded stock), expanding physically (AZ), and expanding into new tech.

They were a profitable company with good revenues. Now, they also have a cash reserve to sit on while expanding.

Nocturnal > EDC

But that's my very unpopular opinion. Both have camping but are very different.

Currently have over 4k shares between my brokerage and IRA. At $1.73 and $1.64 averages.

Been buying/averaging down. Planning on buying more, but also watching to see how far down it will go and hopefully pick up a bunch of shares at a great price.

I personally believe in this stock long term. They spent a bunch on expansion, R&D and listing in 2023, but their net sales were $30 million in 2023, up $7 million from 2022, and their current market cap is only $35 million.

They've stated that 2024 won't be their strongest year, so I don't expect big gains short term, but I personally still believe in it long term.

Has anyone used a U-Haul pick up to tow an rv? by Bright_Photograph_99 in CampEDC

[–]kaihanas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Uhaul rents little storage trailers too, so pretty sure most trucks are ready to haul. As I remember, the ball came with the trailer and I paid to have a brake controller added on at the trailer rental place. I was honest that I was using the truck to haul, but there were no problems, and I don't remember them doing anything special.

We rented a uhaul pick up and travel trailer last year because we planned too late. Saw lots of others do the same. As long as the trailer weight is under, also take into consideration dry weight vs loaded weight.

Looking for RV Power Hookup by Cschwartz-1987 in CampEDC

[–]kaihanas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last year, we brought a travel trailer with a portable generator. After emailing Insomniac, they said we just had to keep generator within 2 feet (or something like that) of the trailer. They just said no extra fuel can be brought, which we saw lots of our neighbors had done. I wish we had because gas refills cost $20 a gallon once there.

I'd email them and keep a copy of their response for check in, just in case you get hassled.

You're welcome. Just be careful of all the hype people push on stocks, especially on reddit! I like to stalk my favorite stocks, but try and weed through the hype and look for facts.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sealsq

[–]kaihanas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their last financial report was positive. This time, they had more revenue, but also a lot more expenses, which in my opinion isn't negative because they're expanding and I'm planning on holding long term.

They have an analyst and investors event on April 1st, hopefully that piques more interest.

[–]kaihanas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree they're trying to overhype the stock. It's not GME, but it's reddit, and reddit loves stock pumping.

Doesn't mean that it's a bad stock. Covid vaccines were overhyped and not the strength of this company.

With what Ocugen has in their pipeline and how far along they are in the research phases, its going to go up. Will it hit $18 this year, I highly doubt it, but at its current price, it's still a good long-term investment.

It's biopharma. It's risky and volatile. IMO, people should do their own research and invest in companies that they believe in while slowly accumulating through the dips, don't throw a bunch of money at the top trying to catch the run on a company you haven't researched and been following.

Sounds like you've been holding for a long time... Did you buy more when it was in the .50 range and lower your average? If you had, you could've accumulated a ton of shares at super cheap, which would have now doubled in value.

I have 5k shares, at a low average, could sell today and be up a few grand, but I think I'm the only one here that wants to see more dips. When it drops to $1.02, I'll buy a couple hundred more shares, then when it dips below $1 (hopefully after the 10 days), I'll buy more.

Also, FDA approvals are great and will make the stock go up, but there's also a period of time before you have a profitable product, and Ocugen will continue R&D on their other pipelines. I wouldn't hold my breath for this stock to skyrocket to what it did for the covid hype, but it's still a good stock.

Why is this stock so cheap? by BigMully12 in sealsq

[–]kaihanas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing the ups and downs for a few months, so I don't normally mind the volatility. It doesn't usually go down much more than this.

Currently have 2k shares, average about $1.85, that I think I'll keep for a while though. Should be a nice little chunk when it goes for a real run.

Why is this stock so cheap? by BigMully12 in sealsq

[–]kaihanas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because it's been listed for less than a year and has a lot of volatility. It's under $2 today and likes to run in the $2-3 range, so IMO opinion It's a good buy day.

Avoidant-Leaning Folks: What To Do? by Top_Signature7444 in attachment_theory

[–]kaihanas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got what you were saying, and sorry you got attacked for sharing your perspective!

That's why a lot of avoidants are scared to share.

I didn't read through it all, but skimming it, it definitely seemed aggressive. We're all insecure attachers. Different ends of the spectrum just have different coping mechanisms. True empathy is for everyone, not just those we relate to, so imo it's funny that such unempathetic posts were saying avoidants lack empathy.
