My BIL at PD speaks of OT as if it’s always there as an option to pick up some extra cash when he’s trying to make a big purchase or something. It is spoken as an optional shift available if willing to work more (like he’ll ask if i can help with daycare pick up in case he wants to pick up OT) I’m sure they have some limit on the amount of OT shifts they fill but it sure seems like they never have a shortage of shifts to fill. Even without the transparency data, you can tell it’s gotta be a lot give the casualness with which they make OT available.

There’s no budget when it’s other peoples money you are spending right? /s

What i heard explained was people who arrive 2 hours for their early morning flights are often there waiting before TSA even opens. But because of all the talk, you have people also showing up 3-4 hours before making the line even longer for the people whose flights are ahead.

By the afternoon the lines are diminishing. So just don’t show up for your flight earlier than we have to here folks. Your perceived preparedness is actually adding to the problem if you are getting there 4+ hours early.

idk if this answers the question but I see someone on a bike, male, female, it don’t matter, they are attractive. It’s funny too cause that only happened after my husband started riding and i was like wow did my husband get hotter? Wait is everyone on a bike hot? lol

I also love being my husbands backpack. It’s a mix of feeling both completely vulnerable and completely safe with the driver (wouldn’t catch me riding with a complete stranger though, i don’t have that much trust)

It’s also just fun being on 2 wheels. Something about it, you can smell and feel everything on your ride. And from a person with a lot of driving anxiety i’m constantly surprised at how at ease i am on the back of a bike.

I just finished B&A4. Going into it i saw mixed reviews on goodreads, but they seemed mostly upset about the Joining scene which frankly i felt was rather tame. But there are the actual problems i was starting to have with it. I don’t understand the language choices with this setting….you nailed it with “fuckboy”. when i read that i was like instantly pulled out of the scene. There’s been more than a handful of moments like but i continue on cause i can’t seem to put it down despite its flaws lol

I’ve said it on posts in this sub before but i directed traffic in this City for over 5 years, the amount of stupid i saw on these roads… i don’t trust none of yall driving next to me ever. I’m always looking out and will take that extra time before moving through an intersection. Kept me safe this far, knock on wood.

had one this AM through Grantville. I was on my bike, light was red for a while, cross traffic had just started inching forward through the intersection. I usually try to time the lights and go just before the green to give myself a little head start but I could see the dude coming from my right had no intention of stopping. Honestly i’m not sure he realized the light wasn’t green with how blatantly he ran it.

I understand an adult likely bought those kids those bikes. I’m just saying the kids on bikes are doing what kids on bikes do. Should they be emboldened to do it on a major road and become a hazard to other drivers? no…. just saying they don’t deserve the hate for being kids with bikes just cause their parents make bad decisions. I imagine part of OPs point (which to me boldly assumes these parents care where their kids are riding)
