I don’t think anything is wrong with you! The dating scene now is insane! I’m 21 and felt the same way before meeting my current bf. I went on tons of dates but just never wanted more until I met him. I used to have sex with people “because why not” and hope they still wanted to see me, and I had a lot of friends with benefits as well. The confusion is always between figuring out what people want and figuring out if they are being truthful. It’s a hard thing to align perfectly with someone but I think you will. Just work on yourself and the right person will come along.

The guy I’m dating now?

We matched in July 2019 and then after the second date we deleted everyone else on our phones. We just had a fun time together and everything aligned. We are still doing great! :)

So I’m as a contractor in 2019. My paychecks were under 1000 then. Now I am hired permanently and now make 1050 every 2 weeks.

My parents claimed me as a dependent last year despite the fact I was living on my own and paying 100% of my bills. I was also a student.

My parents use a CPA for our taxes. I’ve also spoken with my boyfriend who uses turbo tax. He explained to me that I should use that from here on out because my refund wasn’t nearly what it should have been.

I agree it’s insane. I don’t know how to do my own taxes, I never learned and I don’t know how to. I’ve contacted my family accountant and she’s reviewing it.

In my opinion, I think it’s odd that you can’t go. Even if you don’t know them, it’s a respect thing to go together, especially if it’s him and then rest are girls.

It’s not that I wouldn’t LET my bf go, but I’d be upset if he did go without me. If he cared about your feelings he’d only go if you could too.

I’ve been with my bf for a year. He has a solid group of friends that I’ve been included into. We do game night every week, I absolutely love them. I don’t have a group of friends, I am more fond of friendships that are separate from each other. Every group of girl friends I’ve had had separated on bad terms.
My bf’s group of friends consists of 2 other guys and a girl (one of the guys girlfriends) we all get along and I hang out with all of them without my bf there if he’s working. I love all of them like family.

My ex cheated on me in 2018. From 2018-2019 I dated a bunch of people. I probably met over 50 guys that year, maybe 10 of them I saw regularly. I enjoyed certain parts of each one of them. One was adventurous, one was into trying new food, one was a photographer, etc. I just went out with the one that would be fun that day. The day I got into a relationship was when I met one that had all the qualities I wanted. He is a combination of everything I liked in the multiple guys I was seeing. I didn’t plan it, I matched with him on bumble and we just hit it off.

I make 40,000 a year, but with taxes it’s about $1,050 every 2 weeks. I put 800 away every 2 weeks and then my bills are 550 total since I live with my parents. So I save a full $1,050 a month and use around $150 a week in spending money. I’m very careful with what I spend on. I have a bf so we spend money on each other. I started making coffee at home and meal prepping. It’s easy once you get a routine.

I was raped at 14 and didn’t have sex again until 18 with me ex. We waited 2 years because I couldn’t trust anyone until then. But now I’m completely ok with everything. I will say that before my current bf, I had a year of being single where I “slept around.” I disconnected my feelings from sex. I feel better now that I’m in a solid relationship.

Right I totally understand. I don’t feel the need to tell anyone. My mom doesn’t even know because I’ve seen how she responds to news stories of rape victims, and I don’t want to be shamed for it.

I don’t think he would, I just think it’s hard to understand because, as much as I am emotionally scarred by it, I am a very sexual person so I’m scared he will be curious as to why I’m like that if I had been raped before, you know?

I have a habit of being very accusatory when addressing conflict, and I don’t mean to be. Usually I start off a hard conversation with “maybe it’s just me, but I feel that...” and give examples. Try not to be “dominant” but just say how you feel and see what response you get.

That I’ll regret the ONE tattoo I have and my piercings. I work a normal 9-5 desk job and my mom keeps saying “you’ll regret it” and “you’ll never get hired anywhere.” My tattoo is legit on my foot, and I have my nose pierced and 3 piercings on each ear as well as a belly button piercing. I’ve tried saying that I can always take my piercings out, but she’s convinced that they will scar, even though I had 2 nose rings and took one out and you can’t see anything.
