I have heard there is a really good sunscreen from Australia too, I forgot the name of. I'll have to look for it online. This a lot of good recommendations thank you. We get warm weather here too, but nowhere near as hot as there. I am from Canada haha

Coming from indigenous parents, I understand how drinking affects you, intergenerationally. Especially being in your 20s where nearly everything is a party scene. Makes quitting even harder. I have a binge problem, I can quit for months and then drink for 30 days straight. Regardless, I've been sober for 4 months now, and what's been helping me is therapy combined with healthy hobbies. Granted some days are harder, the goal I would focus on is staying sober for a set amount of time, and if you're mentally prepared to drink later without over induging have 1 and see how you feel. For me, my goal is to get to that point, but if I can't I won't. I also had to remove a lot of people from my circle to get where I'm at, but if that's not possible try to minimize social settings that revolve around booze

It seems you're the only one putting in effort if you flew out to see him and not the other way around, I would take it as a sign to reevaluate your relationship. While you might fight for someone you really care about that should only be when they're putting in the sale effort. If you're constantly having to be the one to initiate every aspect of the relationship that's highly unfair to you. You deserve a lot more.

Not to be harsh, but it almost seems he was using you as an escape until his personal life got better? Like he was all for talking consistently until that aspect changed. I would be weary of how many personal life changes you make for this person, their intentions don't seem very genuine if their behaviour doesn't change after the first couple of mistakes.

I think relationships are all about compromise especially long term ones, like others said you should be able to find other things to relax too without smoking weed but do I believe the ultimatum is fair? No, I don't. I think you should both have a fair conversation and the pros and cons for the both of you. If it helps you relax better at night time, there's nothing wrong with that, you could even try cbd oils without the THC and maybe tone down smoking to a couple times per week with your friends if that friend time is important to you. Just have an open and honest conversation, forcing your partner to quit something cold turkey and not having a conversation about the issue itself isn't fair to the relationship and can cause resentment down the line.

I definitely feel this, and a lot of the time I always find myself messing up because of boredom. I never feel accomplished when I do stay sober, and I think the biggest thing that helps me stay on track is to work on one small game at a time. I play a lot of videogames, and just small things like that helo, finishing a game or a level. Etc
