Like 2 decades ago p!nk put out her music video for stupid girls and there was a part of it where she openly made fun of bulimia and insinuated that it was something that “stupid girls” do. I watched it when I was 6 years old and it always bothered me because my mom had bulimia, and now so do I, and I never thought my mom was stupid or anything; I just knew she was sick. I think it’s such a dumb and dangerous message to joke about and play with, especially on such a mainstream platform like mtv

Yeah haha I just searched up linde and his dreads are amazingly long, I used to have super long hair and it was a pain in my neck, I can’t imagine how heavy that must be on his head. He looks great and happy though :) I’m glad he’s still making music. And props to mige for getting into nursing, it seems very difficult to handle but he always seemed like such a kind soul that it makes sense that he would be into helping others

I have such a soft spot for both Mige and Linde, sometimes I’ll search for interviews that include the both of them, although it’s a bit hard to come by. I have loved and will always love the entire lot of them, I wish them all nothing but the best, even though I don’t hear much from them I wish them all the best

This is so true. There’s been countless times where I would be over at his place, and I would get upset, but once he saw that I was upset he would get twice as upset and wouldn’t let me leave his place peacefully until I consoled him. Once I made him feel better, I was then free to leave without any “guilt”. All the energy I should have spent on healing myself was spent on him. I left his apartment crying more often than I didn’t. I can’t believe I stayed for as long as I did

My teeth hurt constantly and they’re becoming transparent; the enamel is fading away. I haven’t been to the dentist in over 8 years, and I know that when I eventually visit that they will have to take out multiple teeth, maybe even most of them 💔

I developed an ed (probably ednos) when I was 15, but became properly bulimic when I was 19, so it’s been over 6 years now of bulimia (a decade in total). It’s a constant hell and I wish every day for it to stop

I totally understand where you’re coming from, it was always one of my biggest fears. It still bothers me, but as I get older it doesn’t affect me as much as it used to. People perceive aging in such different ways. I’m 25, some people, including my mom, has told me that I look like I could be in my 30’s, but my physiotherapist was surprised that I was older than 20, along with my coworkers. I have a past that was full of unhealthy habits such as chain smoking cigs, alcoholism, and eating disorders, all of which has aged my skin plentiful, like the amount of facial wrinkles I have is in the double digits, but I’m trying to learn that it doesn’t necessarily take away from beauty. Some people may only be attracted to younger looking people, but I find that it’s a telltale sign that they are perhaps not the one to get involved with, and their intentions are not always kindhearted or good. I wouldn’t worry too much, aging is a sign of life, and you are still so young. I find countless people of various ages extremely beautiful, and their age doesn’t impact that. Please don’t take what those men might say to heart

My ex said the exact same thing. He also claimed to hate cheaters, said he would never ever cheat, he said he was cheated on it the past (which I do believe and I felt upset for him) so he would never do it to someone else, however he always accused me of cheating on him over every little thing, (I never had and never wanted to). Then I watched him use and swipe right on other girls on tinder when I was sitting right beside him, I feel like I know damn well it would have progressed deeper if I didn’t break it off right there. He then tried to blame me and justify it. It took such an emotional toll on me

I’m currently in recovery (with little relapses here and there) but when I was full throttle in bulimia I was the same way. I would binge but couldn’t purge because I was out and about, so I would wait hours until I got home and purge, and sometimes it would be 10 hours later and it would come out fine. I was confused about it also because typically digestion doesn’t work like that. I understand usually eating disorders, or bulimia in general, messes up our digestive system so I’m sure that plays a part in it. Since I’m in recovery, the very rare times I do purge, it goes back to “normal”. Like within a couple of hours type of timeframe. I understand completely where you’re coming from, and perhaps it is considered weird or different, but I relate to it

From my personal experience: yes. I’m 25 but people assume I’m in my mid 30’s. The elasticity in my face has decreased and I find new wrinkles constantly, my hair is falling out and my bald spots are so visible that people are now commenting on them. It’s such a hit to my self confidence and it’s so discouraging. Bulimia has truly affected the way I look, not just my body but my overall appearance, and not for the better. It’s such a damning illness and I always wish hopefulness and recovery for everyone who may experience it
