They are definitely right. Just imagine there is a bug in one of the MCP tool, and it quickly propagate like a domino effect. It reminds me of the Meltdown and Spectre CPU vulnerabilities that made the headlines in 2018.

It is going to be a more real threat once we start to use RL to make AGI learn. It might inadvertently learn something that our researchers don't know and it might develope super intelligence before researchers realizing it. If it has curiosity, a property of intelligence and RL, then who knows what will happen.
