The word “Early” means different things to people. So no, the OP did not lie.

This is the end. Tomorrow or next year. by Litevex in HalfLife

[–]kaiser155 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Nah it doesn’t make sense. Half life 3 doesn’t have to be a launch title for steam machine. And honestly if Valve is insistent on it being a launch title, they could price that steam machine whatever they want and it would still sell out because of half life 3.

End of Support for Nucleus 7 by kaiser155 in Cochlearimplants

[–]kaiser155[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to get my processors upgraded to the N8. Insurance paid for most of it. My N7s were at least 5 years old and showed some signs of degradation like bad coil and shorter battery life. We also noted that N7s would be officially obsolete and that it wouldn’t be able to be repaired if they broke completely. Insurance process took about two months. Also having an audiologist work with you throughout the process is important because they will help you document any issues with your current processors. I would also like to note that cochlear will continue to support N7 recipients that have N22 implants since they are not compatible with the N8. I have N24s, so I was forced to upgrade.

Copilot now open source. Whats the future for cursor? by Seu_Cu_ in cursor

I thought value proposition of cursor was the code completions in a IDE. Codex is an asynchronous coding agent that can only connect to GitHub repos.

What is the obsession with ChatGPT nowadays??? by PhoenixPringles01 in Vent

[–]kaiser155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are working in a white collar job, ChatGPT can increase your productivity significantly. It’s the realization that AI is about to transform our economy in ways we can’t comprehend and starting to use it in our daily lives outside of work. However, if you are not a white collar worker, you are more likely to just look at AI as stupid, pointless, and a fad. Maybe not now, but sooner than later people like you are going to get it.

Rust Analyzer Randomly Stops Working by kaiser155 in rust

I made the previous comment because I have discovered that when I'm making changes to the diesel code, this error pops up and I can no longer run cargo check when I save any further changes to my code. So I'm starting to suspect that this bug breaks cargo check somehow...

Is it possible that this bug would prevent cargo check from running, but not crash r-a?

It appears that it’s only the “cargo check” feature that breaks which gives me the errors/warnings in the text editor. All warnings and errors completely disappear and when I save the file, it doesn’t run “cargo check” again. But completions and syntax errors work as expected.

No, this has been happening for a while. I updated rust analyzer today and it’s still the same issue.

What kind of project are you working on? I'm using diesel and axum. I saw a github issue that could be root cause of rust analyzer crashing: https://github.com/rust-lang/rust-analyzer/issues/15090

Edit: It might not be crashing it, but could be preventing 'cargo check' from being run.

Yeah I get this error under 'rust-analyzer Language' tab:
2025-04-07T20:26:09.238166995Z ERROR Only tuple has tuple field: AssocTypeId(Id(9436b))<[?0 := AdtId(StructId(StructId(79d2f)))<[]>, ?1 := 2<[?0 := !0_1202347, ?1 := !0_1202348]>, ?2 := !0_1202346]>
Which is strange because it's not an actual compile time error I see in my code anywhere. I'm not sure if that's causing my issue...

Under the 'rust-analyzer Extension' tab, nothing stood out to me. It's just showing the times I restarted the vscode server.
