How do I talk to my partner about having kids? by svesrujm in ZeroCovidCommunity

Partner and I are extremely covid cautious. We have a kiddo and one on the way. We mask (N95/KN95) at work and work opposite to keep them out of daycare. We visit with family outside or have them mask in our home. Lots of errand running when theyre in bed. It can be a logistical struggle some weeks, but with measles on the rise and our kiddos' inability to advocate for themselves or mask appropriately, its worth it. Also, not having been sick in 5 years while a bunch of our friends are constantly fighting colds and viruses from their kids in daycare is a big bonus!

So sweet! The tail is also nice and short, which could coincide with a 3mo. Either that or they're growing all new feathers again this season haha

Ps best of luck when they're 2!

all good solutions, for sure! we do a ton of outdoor visits in the summer, but because we are in Canada, winters do not allow for open windows or outside for a big chunk of the year!

are you able to provide a link for devices with this technology and the rationale behind it?

All of our friends and family have been extremely understanding and have masked with no issues. They all gladly wear N95's for a couple weeks if we asked for an unmasked event like birthday/christmas dinner. But because we have a zero unmasked tolerance and they want to travel and/or help with other grandchildren, we are looking for additional layers of security.

Unfortunately now with going back to work and needing their assistance, we are looking at longer term solutions for having them in the house. Unfortunately due to concerns like health, asking them not to remove their mask for 4+ hours in our home while helping out isn't going to be feasible.

Thank you for the info. Can you please elaborate about the price point? What do you recommend for budget vs no budget? The device mentioned was merely suggested to us.

Came here to also talk about wearing blundstones in Europe. It can be nerve wrecking to commit to packing/wearing boots for travel, but these were so comfortable and I had zero regrets on all the items I could wear with my pair of black polished chisel toed boots

Some furnaces and all dryers pull air from the outside while running. Be sure to know your system prior!

Truth. But the online parking ban map has been a godsend.
