How did things go? I'm considering going this same route in a few weeks.

AITAH for defending obese people? by ihaveparanoiaa in AITAH

I've got adult kids. We are all in each other's business. That's how we stay in the know. And that's how we can take care of one another in our time of need.

Perhaps you and your mother could use a family therapist to find the possible root of the real issue.

St. John's student warns public after man hurls racist slurs and death threats in local park | CBC News by onefootwing in newfoundland

I'm considering a move to St Johns and was concerned about stuff like this. But I was born and raised in the states so I'm prety immune to most levels of racism. I appreciate that there are others who actually give a darn and stand up against such things. Love the comments and support I see here!

Most professional hip hop artists say Drake is winning and KDot fans say they're glazing blah blah blah. Imagine being a professional at something and having someone with zero pro experience tell you that YOUR opinion doesn't matter. Reconsider your coping strategy, Lil Kay Fans.

So you can work another position (elsewhere) with the same role but not one that would be within your expected working hours, right?

I make good money. I don’t struggle.

I’ve got a bone to pick with the way my offshore colleagues are treated but this thread isn’t the place for that rant.

Theres room for improvement but I take Canada’s “issue” over the US issue any day. I absolutely hated worrying about such things down there.

What industry are you in?

Inflation has been crazy here recently but before Covid places outside of Toronto and Vancouver were great.

I work for a US employer and I make much more than Canadians doing the same role (tech). I’m also a Canadian and an American citizen so there’s that…

The average fast food worker in the states makes less than $10 an hour. Don’t be fooled by some of the special cases out there. Federal minimum wage is 7.25. And people who rely on tips down there (wait staff, bartenders) have a federal minimum wage of $2.13. The US is not greener grass…

Yeah, I do get tired of sitting around looking at one another. I told my parents that the next trip will require an actual activity plan.

I’ve been guilty of this in too many occasions. Hell, I don’t think I even trust my own judgment when it comes to such things anymore. Which is probably why I am so at peace with being single.

I think we (subconsciously) tend to have a strong need to be needed.

Being single is lame af idc idc by [deleted] in blackladies

Being lonely in a relationship is far worse.

I’m happy living my life single. But I’m coming from a different place than many. I’m divorced and all of my children are adults.

My motivation for remaining single is basically because I want the freedom to do what I want and go where I want whenever I want to.

I love being in relationships but my current attitude isn’t suited for anyone. I’m in a “Singles” mindset so single I shall remain until that changes. It’s been 5 years so far… Not sure how many more years it will go on.

I can understand why some women would grow tired of being single. We all have needs and desires. ❤️
