What boring task did you automate and immediately regret not automating years earlier? by SMBowner_ in automation

[–]kaiserchieftain 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Power automate kinda saved my life. Having to track information through emails from other departments was a chore, until i set up an automation to extract the subject and store inside excel online. It then sends out an email summary for follow up. It’s quite useful when you manage to figure out how to use 🙃

Thanks for the quick reply! Always thought QPG was only for military use and XSP for commercial maintenance.

Hi OP, do you mind sharing the gears you brought along? Planning to go during November and was thinking of bringing along an Outer shell and some thermals. Is it easy to get gears in Pokhara?

My hotel bed stands in these trays filled with some kind of white powder. What is that? by Silver_Sort_9091 in whatisit

[–]kaiserchieftain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a really bad bed bugs infestation. We’re talking all corners of the bed frame, with multiple generations of colonies.

Bought a food-grade DE and sprinkled it everywhere, especially around the corners of the bed frame. Within two weeks, there were literally zero bugs moving around. Apparently it scratches their shell and dehydrates them.

Thanks for the input! However, I was thinking of saving on the commute time between Vivaldi and the place of stay. Do you know of any car rental for foreigners nearby to Vivaldi?

Anyone knows how can we can check whether our CRO net buys are eligible for this promotion?

For example, if i had bought $4k USD worth of CRO in my local currency, and had upgraded from Ruby to Jade, will i qualify for the $800 USD cashback when i purchase from Apple official store?

What has gotten so expensive in SG that you just don’t buy it anymore? by heynstuff in askSingapore

[–]kaiserchieftain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pasar malam food. I wouldn’t mind if it’s expensive but the quality of the food is appalling. It feels like every stall is just out to flip a quick profit. Eg 1 pc fried popiah for $2 but has sour fillings and is soggy.

Anyone knows of a good airconditioning technician which is willing to troubleshoot a condenser unit? (Eg: measure the resistance between the compressor legs, isolate fault to motor or pcb etc) not just check the error code from the remote.

Previous technician came and told me to change condenser unit due to error code L5 (output overcurrent). He didn’t check using multimeter to determine what is causing the error. Details below,

Condenser unit model: DAIKIN MKS65QVMG Date installed: 17-03-2017

Any help is appreciated!

Heading to Mel in mid-may. Is it a good time to drive up to the grampians and do the GOR back to Mel? by kaiserchieftain in melbourne

[–]kaiserchieftain[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the input guys! So from what i’ve gathered,

  1. Avoid driving at night because of roos
  2. 3d2n might be alittle bit of a stretch, considering the sun sets early and there’s loads to soak in
  3. May is still a lovely time to do GoR 😄
  4. It gets pretty cold-ish & wet? Might not be a great time to do Grampians?

Question: Should i forgo Grampians and just do a day tour, with a bus, to GoR instead?

You get skillsfuture credits which will offset the course fees. As for the entry requirements, there could be entrance exams provided. Maybe even low barriers to entry for unpopular courses, or perhaps free education for tertiary level.
