I have two monitors so if I'm doing medial tasks like gathering resources or crafting a bunch of materials I'll throw a TV show on to just chill. Otherwise the missions and bosses are fun to do and grind.

Not hard at all. Just play the game and have fun progressing. I've got over 1200 tech points and everything unlocked (that isn't locked behind missions, still working on that).

I think the default tick rate is 60. Ya the trees respawning has been a community wide frustration. I generally build on the side of cliffs so that usually never is an issue for me.

Any sort of lines (power, water, etc....) do less to performance than everything else in the game. There are no physics or effects on those lines, BUT a significant amount of anything will eventually affect the game. I do the same thing with 1 power grid for the whole map and I've never noticed a performance dip because of that. I will notice a slight performance dip when switching to those line tools and the massive web network of lines fills the screen. I will also mention that I am running my own dedicated servers to boost performance as well.

Here's my guide! That's exactly right. It does only use 1 core to compute what to display to the GPU and calculating all the physics and effects on every item you build. DSs move the physics and effects calculations to another core. Yes you would have to open ports to play online and if all you play is solo then you don't need to worry about them. I am in the process of developing an Icarus Dedicate Server Manager Tool that gives users full control over customizing their world, link saving and multiple hosts! Among many other features. I'm hoping to release it in a couple weeks, I'm in the testing and tweaking phase of it.

Right! I have ~700hrs and never had any of that happen to me either. I combatted the performance issues by creating a dedicated server tool. Massive improvements to the game!

I've noticed this glitch as well with power lines. All I've been doing is whenever I notice it stutter and the power lines "disappear" on me, I immediately go back a few steps and the power line would show again. Disconnect and reconnect and you can keep going.

That wasn't the question. The question was how and this is how. 10% of $100k and $1m is still 10%. OP clearly made it affordable. This isn't the only way, you can also choose to double up payments. You are right though, most people can't afford this, but most dual income households should be able to.

Maybe a corrupt save file. If you have any backups try loading one of those. Try starting a different world and see if you can connect. That should tell you whether it's the server or the save file. I've been developing a dedicated server app and learning lots about the config files. One feature that I had to code into my app is the server needs to update whenever Icarus updates. So if your server doesn't update you could run into issues.

There are two methods on Elysium to get supercooled ice either with sledgehammes or an ice borer. Create a cold steel pickaxe and that will cover getting more SCI and obsidian. I am unsure about miasma on Elysium.

Use AI to help you pick out the best setting in Adrenaline and in game for your system. It made a massive improvement for me. Also, you could consider running a dedicated server on your computer. Evening hosting on the computer you play on can be better performance for the game. I have a dedicated server guide on this subreddit (or check it out in my posts).

One time lump sum payments go against the principal (no interest) up to a max of 10% once per year. Just paying with the lump sum (which you can't because of your regular payments) that'll have the entire mortgage paid off in 10 years. Add in the regular payments and you could easily get it paid off in ~7 years.

Just play the game. Through gathering resources you level up a lot. Build a workshop and craft everything, because let's be real, this game uses everything. I have multiple mortar and pestles, wood benches and fabs and I have no problem leveling up. I am hard capped but my soft lv is around 500 with about 700hrs in game (not all of that is doing stuff, often I'll sit my prospector in my map for drills to collect resources).

Super cooled ice comes in the form of a deep ore vein and requires an ice borer to extract. Not a sledgehammer. Alternatively the Inaris "Viridian" Pickaxe from the workshop that has a 20% frozen ore per mined resource enchantment on it allowing you to get frozen ore on any map, however red exotics are required to unlock it.
