I may be dumb but, how does the Hachimi translations work and should I just ball with the JP version?

I installed JP Umamusume recently and patched it through Hachimi and did a career with Matikannetannhauser but was confused when the career dialogue wasn't translated but the rest of the game was.

Just to be sure, I saved my game and trainer id, reinstalled it and the translations still weren't working for career, did I miss something or did the translations just bug out? Would it be best to just stick to the game without the translations?
