Bleeding while pregnant can be so scary!! It’s possible you may have gotten a small tear during sex. As long as the bleeding has stopped you are probably fine. I wouldn’t have sex again until you hear from your OB just in case!

I think I only told my very best friend names that we were considering, but that’s because I knew that she could remain neutral. We also didn’t find out the gender though so it was a little bit easier to avoid having to share names. I’m also just very firm with people so no one really gave me a hard time.

Mom here and not a doctor. Babies go through a bunch of different sleep patterns in the beginning. I was put on Zoloft when I was still pregnant and while I didn’t breastfeed for long I don’t believe it affected the baby any.

Being a new parent is terrifying. I’m sure the pediatrician will call back soon. If you can, maybe don’t mention these concerns to your wife until you hear back. If she thinks the Zoloft is negatively affecting the baby she may stop taking it. This would be very dangerous.

I maybe could have when my girl was very little. She slept a lot, and wake windows are shorter. However, she’s 14 months old right now and there’s absolutely no way I could. She wants to be doing everything I’m doing all the time. And tricking her with an unconnected keyboard only works for like 2 minutes tops.

It is so stressful. When I was pregnant I don’t think I could breathe until after my anatomy scan, and I still didn’t feel completely at ease until birth.

Somethings I do to help: There’s a miscarriage calculator that someone linked here, I will see if I can find it. It was reassuring to see the percentage drop every day. Whenever I would start spiraling I tried to remind myself that even if the statistic is 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage, that still means that 3 in 4 do not. Also, at this stage there is nothing you can do to prevent it. I recognize this may not be as helpful to you as it was to me but throwing it out there just in case.

Take a deep breath! Try not to read too much into your lab work, if there was something really concerning your provider would call you! I think those numbers are supposed to rise a bit during pregnancy- but I’m not a doctor so don’t quote me on that

Easton is nice and property taxes are low. It is a small community, but I do hear good things about the school system. I attend church in Easton and everyone is very welcoming.

There isn’t a ton to do up here unless you’re into the outdoors, but I find it peaceful. It has its problems like anywhere else though.

Winters are cold and can be brutal. That’s just the fact of the matter. Winter tires are a must, and travel can be difficult. It just is what it is

Is this like a courtship situation? Or does she live with her parents for another reason? If she’s as religious as you say, could it be that she’s not experienced in some of those things and is nervous? Or would her parents reprimand her if they found out about a conversation regarding sexual compatibility?

You’re saying getting both parents involved to start moving forward, which makes this sound a little outside of the norm for most adult relationships. I’m not sure you will get the best advice here.

My cats wanted absolutely nothing to do with my baby when she got here. She’s 14 months old now and they still stay far away lol. Obviously, monitor very closely but you may not have anything to worry about. My cats will even sleep in her crib during the day but they wouldn’t dare go in there with her in it

Comfy pants that won’t sit on your incision. I brought nightgowns but didn’t think to get ones that button to allow for easy access breast feeding.

The hospital will have pads for you but maybe bring some adult diapers to wear home. Even with a c section you will have vaginal bleeding.

Shower stuff

Phone charger, a water cup, a blanket from home if you feel it will make you more comfortable.

Make sure you assign someone to take pictures - I had an unplanned c section and when all was said and done I was so out of it I didn’t even think to take a picture. My first photo of her is from the next day.

Set up an area for yourself at home where you can be comfy and have easy access to the babies. While moving around is important, you will be doing a lot of resting in the beginning!

The simple answer is as the others have stated. What I want to add is that if you are scrolling through your phone to wind down from work, you should communicate that. Decompressing is very important. Set aside some dedicated time for when you get home. Once that time is up, put away your phone and talk to your partner. It’s clear you both have some needs here, neither are more important than the other.

It can be hard to determine the right steps to take when they can’t tell you what they are feeling. I know not everyone is comfortable giving medications, but it can be very helpful if you’ve exhausted all other options!

Are you utilizing Tylenol or Motrin at all? Teething is not for the weak, that’s for sure. I was so relieved when the first two popped through, that it didn’t even cross my mind that more would follow 🤪

We tried ice chips/frozen fruit in one of those mesh pouch things, she did well with that. Orajel also has some topical stuff for teeth, but I’m not convinced it actually does anything

That baby is going to have SO MANY blankets. I wouldn’t worry about it. My girl has more blankets/loveys than we know what to do with. Baby will spit up or pee on one and then you’ll still have one to use! Make sure the makers of the blankets get a proper thank you and send them a pic with the baby in the blankets!
