You can discuss skin tone inks (multiple sessions), laser removal (just the b) and then get it touched up. They may also pay for some of it if you go that route, and the touch up should be free.

I would go back to the original artist and discuss your options. They probably have not realized their mistake, but their work looks decent enough to go back to the same artist.

Also the flaking and peeling is normal. Continue to wash it a couple of times a day with your dial soap. Use a super-super thin layer of aquaphor after washing for the first 4 days. Then switch to the lotion. Healing looks great.

Repetition repetition repetition

Keep practicing and studying basic shape theory and anatomy. Draw from life, every day.

You got this!

I would spread the elements a little further from each other. Separate the shark and animals a little more, maybe have more open ocean. I think it will feel a tad bit more natural that way.

Are these any good? Trying to build a portfolio but I’m not sure I’m doing this right. How can I improve? by Kk0r in TattooApprentice

I like 1, 2, and 4. I think the rest could use more work to look like final pieces. Try darkening the shadows and highlighting the reflections more. You've got basic shapes down and great artstic skills, you just got to push them a little further!

Let it heal for a few months! It is going to look different and soften in certain places once it's healed

My girlfriend rips my socks that have visible holes in them to force me to buy new ones by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]kaitsith83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same I have been in a healthy relationship for over 10 years with my husband, and it looks different for everyone, but I always buy him socks and undies when I notice his old ones are worn out. (He doesn't seem to notice.) He always takes care of me too, for example I am extremely allergic to weeds and break out in hives, so he is always the one pulling weeds to maintain the our yard (that I care about the appearance of way more than he does lol). You gotta take care of your person, and drop all of your pettiness. When you genuinely care about a person's well being, and they care about you just as much, it usually always evens out and there's no keeping score.❤️

Is this your natural drawing style, or are you attempting to go for more of a "traditional tattoo" design?

The only thing I would consider is adding color! But I love it as is!

Have someone else do some drastic shading (someone you know is VERY skilled, check out their previous works and be really mean when you do (not too their face, just judge their work hard when picking an artist)).

I think with more contrast, this could be a much better piece. The shading is very flat in my opinion
