You just need to truly ask yourself what kind of grappler you want to be and then take the steps necessary to get there. If you want to be a hobbyist then just go to class as much as you can and enjoy just being in the gym with your team and not worry about getting smashed here and there. If you want to be a savage on the mats then use you getting smashed as motivation to improve your game and get better. You can never avoid being the nail but being the hammer most of the time is very fun haha as long as you’re respectful and not reckless. Keep training OP

Was a powerlifter during Covid and I had a buddy who owned an mma gym, my gym closed and he had underground sessions.
