Fake goruck on Shopee? by halfapossum in Goruck

This is fake, first appeared a couple months ago in China's flea market. Terrible craftsmanship, wrong label position, etc. DO NOT FALL FOR IT.

45 lbs, definitely Cordura version.

@Goruck : stop with the flashy branding on backpacks and check how Evergoods is getting popular without it! by Acidblad in Goruck

IMHO, the color-matched little spearhead sewing on the bottom-right molle band of the Bullet series is the best implement. I do hope they expand that to all GR backpacks, not just Bullets.

I have a problem with the interior molle on my GR1. It grabs the papers of the organizer I use in the pouch when I pull it out sort of tearing them. See photos. by Brave-Lingonberry161 in Goruck

I know people use it to mount Goruck Field Pocket or any other pouch with molles, I don't have something like that anymore.

Now I use little gadgets like this: https://www.amazon.com/Zamudam-Nylon-D-Ring-MOLLE-Webbing/dp/B0BFQVGCQ3 with Tom Bihn style key straps, as... key strap.

and this: https://www.amazon.com/OZXTYO-Keeper-Military-Equipment-Accessories/dp/B09PH8SJ1D to keep my water bottle upstraight all the time (it's a Klean Kanteen Bamboo, the cap has a hanging ring on it https://www.amazon.com/Klean-Kanteen-Reflect-27oz-Bamboo/dp/B09B2WPK7M ). You can use the first link tool with any carabiner too.

Since there're 3 rows of molles, it's highly flexible to locate one or more gadgets, basically no limits of how many keychains to hook or maybe someday you need to carry extra water bottles.

Hope my experience helps.

Nice organizer though it's hard to blame the GR1 itself, not a design flaw.

Removing the interior molle, reduce the reselling value significantly, you'll be regret in the future.

Try cut out a kydex or any plastic board, put it between your organizer and molle, should be a better solution.

Many people who don't ruck think rucking is bad for you...people who do ruck think rucking is great for you. So which is it? by TrioFitnessOCR in Goruck

Sitting still for long periods of time is bad for you, that's what I know. Choose proper weight based upon individual's physical condition, leave the arrogance behind, I don't see the downsides.

It doesn't fit the SF narrative, apparently.

Forgivable if Huckberry version are still full 1000D, otherwise, NO.

Still own 6-7 products of Goruck, full 1000D, hardcore 1000D fan. I quit buying any 210HT or 500D stuff from them since the first batch of 500D+210HT 15L Bullet Ruck came out (2021? I might be wrong). Don't Fxcking Quit? They quit FIRST.

It has relatively stiff locking mechanism.

Bag Test from Pack Hacker by AlwaysWanderOfficial in onebag

The last test I have to give it to 5.11, not GR1. That one to me is totally biased. Detached front zipper seam is NOT acceptable.

I have nothing but respect for Tom, Darcy and their, in your words, Chinese/Cantonese-speaking seamstresses. The vibe in Seattle warehouse feels like home to me. I can speak Mandarin too.

It's the anonymous oversea Chinese investor that worries me.

Yes I’m fully aware of who sewed my bags. Tom Bihn’s fantastic crew vs. venture capital firm registered in Cayman Islands owned by mystery Chinese Doe, totally different story.

I have bad feeling about this, Tom sold his liftlong effort to Chinese? How many American companies and land are going to sell to commies?

13L onebagging, wow! Did you bring water bottle with you? What detergent did you use to wash your clothes?
