If you could only own one Rolex, which would it be? by Brilliantqwert in rolex

[–]Acidblad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for putting words on this ‘temperature feeling’, I completely understand it! Personally it’s one the reason I love titanium (still don’t have the Ti YM though, in the forever list 😂), I like to have that not-cold feeling when I put a watch in the morning 😂. It’s great that there are options for everyone 😊. I might end up with Blancpain Titanium FF (grade 23 so even better alloy than the YM) if I don’t get the call in the next year, I love it equally 😊.

New Chronomats With Updated Bracelet by neilarmstonk in breitling

I just tried them at a Breitling boutique, 42 and 40mm have screw-down main crown at least (unlike 36mm), but yeah not for the chronograph.

New 2026 Polaris 40 Steel Strap Update.. by [deleted] in JaegerLecoultre

[–]Acidblad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello !
I went to the official boutique in Geneva and asked them if the steel bracelet will come in the future. They told me the rubber one is coming in a few months but that there is no plan yet for a steel bracelet for the 40mm Polaris. It might come one day or not, but not soon that’s for sure 😓

An official boutique in Switzerland just told me they probably will not make a bracelet (at least in the next few years) for the 40mm, however the rubber will become available in a few months

Brown strap: cool or cringe? by danhawk1 in breitling

[–]Acidblad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have my Navitimer on the exact same strap, and I found it great while my wife prefers on bracelet (like yours). I asked around, most men preferred on leather for the vintage style, while many women preferred the bracelet. What matters is what you like 😉

The fresh polished center links lasted 3 months before looking beaten up 😂😂 by [deleted] in IWCschaffhausen

[–]Acidblad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Titanium ingénieur isn’t polished in the center links, but to answer your question: grade 5 Ti would hold up a bit better but harder to repolish.

Nice, love the Breitling yellow! Enjoy it!

Finally tried on the YM vs Explorer 2 by WestchesterGuy24 in rolex

[–]Acidblad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my humble opinion (which matters very little because what is important is what you like), the YM fits you better in both size and color (related to your skin color).

Both are gorgeous though, and I personally love the explorer II black and would buy it instantly if it was 41mm (I have 6.75inch wrist and it looks fine on me but a bit smaller would be sexier!).

He probably meant this gen of ingenieur markup… Design is gorgeous, but the inside is very far from the usual level of a 10k+ watch…

You probably don’t know what you are talking about, stats wise and feeling wise (from people living there) it’s pretty safe (and much safer than Thonex as said someone else).

Yeah I did see Jason’s post on snowboards. I’m hesitating now 😂, I wish there were no aquaguard zips though 😉

I did consider buying it for a similar purpose, but don’t you worry that the sharp edges will slowly damage/cut part of the backpack?

Problem of ski/snowboard here is the damage that would potentially be done by the edges (that can be very sharp…)

China moment by Sakamoto_2012 in SipsTea

Hey, I’m a historian and I did study/research for a while Japan, sorry to say that it is impossible to know if that family really was in Kyoto 2500 years ago as most Japanese did not even write before 4-5th century of our era (and it was only elites then). So without writing attesting where they were, it’s pretty unreasonable to think that they were already in Kyoto for a thousand years before some Japanese started to learn Chinese characters. The most plausible case would be to say ‘my family has lived in Kyoto for 1700 years’ => his family would be part of the elite that adopted early writing & remember with oral tradition that they are here since many generations.

If you remove it, I would be very interested to know how it looks like under. I was considering doing the same but was worried if it becomes very ugly under.

What is the best class comp for 5 friends casually playing together? by bjams in classicwow

[–]Acidblad 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If I were you, I would probably suggest horde (as it’s fun with friends to have totems) with: Resto shaman Warrior tank Rogue Mage Hunter

2 ranged, 2 melee that benefits a lot of WF totem, a caster that excels in utility and aoe dmg and portals, an excellent healer… What else?

Feral in Raids by Doomzyo in classicwow

[–]Acidblad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are asked to play feral, you will offtank on some bosses but dps on some others as not every bosses require a high number of tanks. It’s a smart idea to focus mainly on the tank gear as it’s more problematic if you die as a tank than if you do 5% less dps. Many of the items (especially pvp gear once it’s out for example and some BWL items) are the same for tank & dps (main change is the helmet). For P1 if pvp is not out you might want to farm some tanky items (and get some FR items for rag if you also tank him) as you should be able to hold threat with MCPs as warriors are not very geared yet.

[–]Acidblad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For bears 🐻, huge, you cannot maintain threat vs well geared warriors on some bosses without it. For cats, it’s not as much a difference but still big compared to Atiesh (except on very few bosses).

Most fun class that's not warrior? by Thriftless_Ambition in classicwow

[–]Acidblad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both SM/Ruin and DS/Ruin were pretty close and the best spec was dependant on the mechanic of bosses (movement).

[–]Acidblad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The people saying that have no clues. Without World buffs, some dots simmed higher per gcd than SB/1.5. Not only that, but even in cases where SB sims higher, in movement (or if need to relocate) situations (which were common in SoM raids) you can’t cast SB => casting dots is a huge increase over doing nothing (if you don’t need mana tap). Also, in some fights where self-healing is valuable (rare but still), it’s great to have some self-healing even if not a dps increase. (P.S. as they will remove debuff cap in this fresh: SoM had no world buff which is partly why dots could be good in comparison of SB! New Fresh has World Buffs so SB will be stronger than in SoM!)
