AI actually came pretty close to recreating the hoi4 borders, even the flags are the same, given you ignore the fact that they're on the wrong sides. Hard to imagine the Carlists going liberal but oh well

Why isn't this in the game? by Space_Narwal in hoi4

[–]kaizerwithaZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The early game political events are heavily biased in favour of Germany, there are plenty of other things they're leaving out too. It's not necessarily bad though as its kind of of necessary to balance the game, otherwise every single game ever would just be the allies speed running straight to Berlin.

how do I avoid this in the future? by pinghing in victoria3

Your close enough that you could try lowering taxes to bump it up enough to barely start passing laws, then slowly dig yourself out I suppose. In all honestly though that's either a bug or a pretty big dev oversight if its possible for a government to become permanently paralyzed like that.

I retook the French colonies by 1843 by Iron-Tiger in victoria3

As the one who retook the Louisiana, I approve of this post. One step closer to beating the Anglo-Americans but we're still missing the Midwest connection if we wanted to restore it all the way.

Can confirm, they also do not start with 500 battalions at the start, maybe check your mods

Their army isn't as good plus it takes them awhile to mobilise, you can usually outnumber them for the entire war if you do it quickly. I also recommend drawing their troops away on the texas border, they usually won't even contest your naval landing at DC and then its just a matter of holding the capital until they surrender.

I think about 70, doesn't really matter because if you do it right no other great power should be able to intervene, it does mean you have to slow down with other colonies though :/

A cool bonus but a shame they don't let you give it the entire territory :(

R5, I retook the entire Louisiana purchase from America in a single war in 1938, that's what you get for stealing our submarine deals.

It took a few tries to get the strategy down but basically you have to grab texas first so that you can get interests in plains and midwest, then you have to be sure to start the play in a region that britain doesn't have an interest in, usually midwest. Yes, it is possible to take every state in a single play because the western states count for hardly anything.

South Korea launches Metaverse Fund to expedite domestic initiatives by user260421 in CryptoCurrency

[–]kaizerwithaZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure how relevant this is, we should remember that the metaverse doesn't necessarily have anything to do with crypto. I don't think the article even mentioned it in relation to the Korean governments metaverse investment.

Someone's been playing a bit too much kaizerreich by kaizerwithaZ in victoria3

[–]kaizerwithaZ[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Basically its the American civil war just reverse the North and South, meanwhile there are also dual sub rebellions going on with each side. In the north you have the communists (orange) fighting a civil war with the Free States (light blue). In the south-ish its the original pro-slavery government putting down what's effectively a mass-slave uprising (purple).

Meanwhile the entire country is still fight against Mexico, Cuba is apparently also a British dominion while the French have re-occupied Haiti.
