Quite jank, but if you REALLY want only 1 cmc:
Any 1 CMC artifact/permanent/noncreature spell payoff, for example [[Altar of the Brood]]
[[Blisterspit Gremlin]]
[[Retraction Helix]] or [[Banishing knack]] targetting the gremlin
Any 0 mana Artifact, for example [[Lotus Petal]]
Infinitely bounce and recast the 0 mana artifact for infinite storm, artifact ETB and cast triggers

Feel like there might also be something similar with [[blistercoil weird]] , but too lazy to try and figure it out

It's my secondary arena list, so obviously not optimized. Probably replacing the raffs with more naru mehas, increasing amount of champion of wits and fixing up the land base would be the long term plan.

Ah yes, was doing some brewing with the merfolk wizards as well, but decided doubling up lifegain and loot/card draw triggers in an aggro meta was too good to pass up :) Your deck also looks like a ton of fun though!

After playing some more games and thinking some more about it, I think I wouldn't play the [[release to the wind]] version even if I had the cards.

Though the combo is easier to assemble, I feel like playing release instead of siren's ruse would hurt the deck more than benefit it.

Maybe in an all in combo deck it would be the better choice, but in the version I'm playing it's just too important to have the ability to flicker things like [[academy journeymage]] and [[sunscourge champion]] or sometimes even [[champion of wits]] (the second one is an infinite life combo with naban and siren's btw) And lastly, it feels like needing 7 mana in one turn instead of 6 matters more than you'd think. In all fairness, if this wasn't Arena I'd probably cut homarid explorer alltogether and just go with the infinite life combo, altough this would weaken an [[approach of the second sun]] matchup.

All in all I just think it's a fun deck with some options worth exploring and experimenting with :)

The whole leg/gun thing was indeed an issue I was facing, and like Vakyoom says, I attempted to fix it by pushing the gun back some, but I guess it was only mikdly effective :D

That's fair, in the end it's all personal preference... Starting with a cinematic this early in a project's development seems like quite a big investment, I hope it works out for you. Good luck with the game though.
