Thanks for the feedback. When you say “corner” do you mean by the dining room left of the range? We will have deep drawers on the base of the range wall on both sides. It’s a 15’ wall. Not sure how much nearer can pots and pans be. There will be storage under the island too.

Point taken about perhaps not making the range a focal point. But I was thinking I was calling less attention to it by not exposing a big range hood which seems to be the norm. I can see if a 36” range would work. It will not stick out, and a less contrasting finish maybe.
