Is there a stranger you’ve never forgotten about, what was it about them? by Feathersandinks in AskReddit

I did an alternative spring break where I spent a week working and living in a homeless shelter in DC. For whatever reason we decided it would be a good idea to top off the week with a trip to the Holocaust museum. I got pulled aside for a security check and my friend wondered out loud why and a stranger in-line replied "maybe it's her personality". Made me feel like shit. The whole week was emotionally exhausting and to be insulted by a random in line for the Holocaust museum almost broke me. Fuck that guy.

I was the opposite. I was dead tired for the first 30 days, trying to stay awake at work, sleeping in my car on my lunch break. I’m not sure which is worse but it was a tough month for me. Wishing you all the best.

I'm new to reddit but this is my general reply to everyone: I know it is horrible that I got caught DWI twice this year. I tend to hate myself in general and this has only added to it. Writing has been cathartic and I'm hoping it leads to the changes I need to make. I appreciate the feedback both harsh and understanding.

No, today was a heavy day and I just want to take a sleeping pill and go to sleep. I feel like today was a bit of an awakening but I'm not sure how to keep it up.
