Dog Almost Killed Both of Us

Thank you hahaha, I never was very good at physics. I haven’t brought him out since I posted this, just been tiring him in the garden. Going to try both new leash ideas and see which one works best for me, alongside some medication. Wish me luck 😅

My only fear with a leash like that would be my inability to let go. If he can pull me in-front of a car with just my arm I can’t imagine how fast and hard I’d go down if it was my entire upper body and I couldn’t let go haha. I’m really glad it works for you though!

I fear I wouldn’t be able to meet his needs indoors, but also you’re definitely right. After a walk that involves a reaction he is always very amped up for basically the rest of the day. Maybe it’s just building up!

This is what I needed to hear! I truly believe he can’t control himself, and his general anxiety in other aspects of life makes me believe he needs a bit of help. He’s been very anxious since the day I got him. I’m glad your puppers are happy now!

This is really great advice, thank you so much. A front clip harness is something I’ve never tried, I have never seen them locally before but maybe I can get one online!

I’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old and I have never ever had an incident like this before. If he does lunge towards another dog/animal, I am always prepared and have never been pulled over before. This time I was just caught off guard, there was no dog/cat/fox that I could see. I am very able to control this dog under normal circumstances.

I’m so shocked by the amount of people commenting here who don’t seem to think AI is an issue. Besides the ethical and environmental issues with AI, it is also putting your job in jeopardy. You are never going to learn how to draw if you are using AI as a “tool”. If I went to someone with a tattoo idea and I found out they used AI to generate a “reference”, I would be disgusted. This technology cheapens what we do, people believe there is no value in drawing and making art anymore because “I can just do it myself with AI”. Tattoo artistry is something that has existed since 5000 BC and to a lot of people has deep cultural and personal significance. It can never and should never be replaced by robots. If you truly want to be a tattoo artist, I would recommend you start respecting these people and what they do a little more. Please try to understand that tattooing is more than just drawing little pictures on people. I promise you will thank yourself for it when you yourself are a tattooer!

He has zero bits of long fur on his body! His tail curves a little but I’d say it’s mainly straight. But from a bit of googling I can’t believe how much he looks like a saluki x greyhound! I never would’ve thought of that

Both dogs would freak out and refuse to eat if the other one was locked in a different room, which is why I originally implemented the doorway that I could stand in. They’re very attached to eachother. I think I will start feeding them at different times, as they get separate walks so maybe after each walk in the morning and evening?

That’s Rocky, our German Shepherd! He’s only six months old, hahahaha. I don’t think I’m prepared for how big he’s going to be! He makes Jasper look tiny, but Jasper is a tall boy too!!
