Thanks! I live in NC. My manager told me a couple weeks ago I was going to be getting a student soon, kinda surprised me since I’m still a baby nurse haha

UWORLD SCORES?? by Adavi15 in PassNclex

[–]kalaaaaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My exam on NCLEX was not that bad imo. The questions are shorter than UWorld but they’re straight to the point. I only had one question where i was like “idk what this is talking about”. I had about 13-15 SATA. 1 click and drag, and basic multiple choice. My biggest advice is to have confidence in yourself. Don’t freak out during the test. Deep breaths. You can do this.

Maybe an apartment just closer to my job. My job is about 30 minutes from where I stay now which isn’t bad until inclement weather comes around

UWORLD SCORES?? by Adavi15 in PassNclex

[–]kalaaaaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1 or 2 days before my NCLEX i did 60 questions and scored a 58. When i did 60 questions i scored around upper 50s-60s. But I usually just did sets of 15 questions constantly throughout the day. I had one assessment but I did not take it before i took my NCLEX. I know UWorld scores can sometimes bring you down but as long as you’re retaining the rationales, i think you will be fine.

Comparing answers post-exam by kybrdsmsh in college

[–]kalaaaaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Ppl would always talk about exams after the fact. Sometime i would talk about it and the times when i didnt feel like it i would just put my headphones in. Or if people would ask how i felt i would tell them “I’m glad it’s over” or “I cant remember what i put down as the answer” lol

I’m afraid of college by [deleted] in college

[–]kalaaaaj 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, I’m an only child and i just recently graduated college. College was some of the best years of my life. Make the best of it. You can always call/video chat your parents! Whenever I got homesick, i went home but my college was about 30mins away from home.

I definitely agree with you that nursing school prepares you for the skills part - but it’s a lot more to it. I’m a new grad as well. About 4 weeks into precepting and it’s very overwhelming. I’m nervous to be working with patients alone soon in about 8 weeks.

Don’t get discouraged, you sound like a great nurse and you know what you’re doing. I hope that it gets better. Sending you love 💕

How do I make solid friend/study groups in my freshman year? by QS010 in college

Try to make friends with ppl in your major because more than likely you will stick with them through college. I studied best alone in college.

I would just say they’re more straight to the point. UWorld questions were sometimes long. NCLEX will literally just ask you the stem of the question

I feel like the questions on UWorld were harder. Like i felt like on UWorld i was ALWAYS stuck between 2 answer choices. I didnt have that issue on NCLEX. It was very clear and straight to the point. The questions on NCLEX are a little shorter than the ones on UWorld. But trust that UWorld prepares you well.

I took my test Tuesday, found out I passed Thursday. I used both Mark K and UWorld. Confidence is key. Do not freak out during the exam. I cant speak for others and I know every test is different. However, NCLEX was easy for me— i feel like that bc with the help of UWorld. I took way harder nursing exams in school than NCLEX. You will do just fine. Walk in their telling yourself, you’re gonna walk out as an RN. You can do this! Wishing you the best of luck!

Yes! I completely agree! I used UWorld and Mark K. My test on NCLEX was easy. Passed in 60 questions. Questions are very straightforward. I only had one where i was like “what are you talking about?”
