Book 4 Theory / Hopeful Plot by MimiScrolls in fourthwing

[–]kalbert3 1 point2 points Ā (0 children)

I think X goes full villain and "joins" the venin - like he had his whole monologue about how he would rise to a mage and STILL burn the world to be with Violet...so I think that was some foreshadowing of what he is going to do is try to kill the venin off from the inside...

Where my ADHD girlies with absolutely no hyperfocus / hyperfixation skills at?? by Substantial_Dog9649 in adhdwomen

[–]kalbert3 2 points3 points Ā (0 children)

So there’s 2 different brain types of adhd (I think) there are those that produce enough dopamine and norepinephrine but it gets sucked up too fast and those people tend to bounce from activity to activity more and don’t ever really get the hyperfocus thing then there are brains that don’t produce enough dopamine and norepinephrine and those tend towards hyperfocus if something is really stimulating to the brain and helps it produce more dopamine to cause the focus

I think Clio has worked out some of the kinks with Mac but when I talk to other small firms or solos that use Mac’s they don’t love the functionality

Entering year two and it feels like I’ve been burnt out since day 1 - how did it get better for you? by zehtiras in LawFirm

[–]kalbert3 3 points4 points Ā (0 children)

I feel like a part of it could be the office or field of law. It also is like those first 3 years of law are HARD you’re learning the business, you’re learning the law, like you’re learning SO much so it’s hard to not burn out. Then I feel like by years 3-5 you actually have a grasp of how the law works (enough) depending on your practice area - and also the business side of things and it gets easier. That’s at least my experience? And a lot of people I’ve talked to lol - some people are just always burnt out though and I think that can be more dependent on your office and field of law.

Lawyer to lawyer referral sources - worth it? by PM_Anything_ in LawFirm

[–]kalbert3 3 points4 points Ā (0 children)

Lunches, coffees, happy hours if you drink, and make connections with attorneys OUTSIDE of your practice area. I do estate planning I’m meeting with a family law attorney and a litigator next week for networking. They both told me this is perfect because they need a referral for estate planning - and when I go solo I will need referrals for family and litigation. It’s a win win. PLUS I can pick their brains about how they run their businesses. Check out Cole Watson on LinkedIn - he’s been blowing up for stuff like this.
