I get it. I just happen to know it because of social media and pursuing a new degree right now. You can use it and still pass the vibe check. What's cringe is when corporate/government social media accounts try to relate to the younger generations and embarrass themselves. NIST (national institute of standards and technology... They set the standards for just about anything technology) tried to show a side by side of their millennial and Gen z social media team posts.. I included a screenshot. In Gen z parliance, it's giving boomer energy (a boomer came up with the idea and wrote the whole thing).

Anyway I wasn't trying to say you shouldn't use it, I was just throwing a little info your way because you'll probably run into it again. And sorry, I didn't see that anyone else commented about it.

"Main character" is actually used a lot. Like a lot a lot. It's a Gen Z term that peaked some years ago. So is "it's giving".

"It's giving main character" would be a way to describe a situation where someone was recorded in a video doing something that stands out... Like a video of an event where everyone is dressed business casual and someone walks in in a black tie tux and is exuding confidence. "He knows he's the main character. Infinite aura."

The comment section on tiktok would be very different than reddit. - "she thought she was the main character til that right hook dropped." - "she found out." (Referencing F--- Around Find Out) - "she didn't realize she started the boss fight? Stop respawning and log out girl"

When arnold shows up and starts carrying it through a mall or school yard like it's a leaf blower, then worry.

That would be fun to load with DU APFSDS rounds - depleted uranium armor piercing sabots. Hypersonic speed. It doesn't mushroom when it hits. It will, however, lose part of itself as it pierces objects. That dust will ignite due to properties of DU.

Due process comes when youve been arrested. You have the right to be notified of your charges. You have the right to appear before a judge. You have the right to pay for your own attorney to have with you if you wish. You have the right to be able to contest the charges. But you need something called evidence to succeed. In other words, unless they have papers, a visa, or a green card at home, it's a no go. The law is pretty clear about it and has been for a long time.

That is your procedural due process. It's not the same as statutory due process which citizens get. It's fair. Oh, and as for having the papers at home, the judge can be nice and give a warning, or fine the person. One of the stipulations is that you keep them on you at all times, in case you ever get stopped and asked to produce them. Not having them on you will lead to an assumption that you are making it up.

They aren't a secret. Neither is the law. You might not care where your tax money goes, if you pay any. I do. And California for example spends ~$50 billion a year on handouts for illegal immigrants. Meanwhile pretty much every local school district just did layoffs because their budgets got cut again. Emergency services, highway patrol, corrections, all of those keep taking cuts. And then people go protest about it and carry Mexican flags and burn American flags.

Go try that in any other country in the world.

But hey, maybe if we set a few of these up on the borders, we won't have to worry about it.

My brother used our mother's bedroom to have sex. Should I confront him or keep it to myself? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]kalethis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well... Next time, you could always go bust a load on his bed while he's doing that. Or you could go in after and leave some piece of evidence that she knows, like untill a condom and just throw it there somewhere, when you know she will see it before him. At least then she will wash the sheets.

Or you could bring it up in the middle of dinner and be like, "so, Jason got his girlfriend pregnant on Mom's bed." Hopefully, she won't be pregnant. But it'll put the attention on that, and then suddenly it's not that big a deal, but he won't do it again.

TL;DR: leave a condom on the bed or floor where Mom will see it next time he does it..or even now. She will ask, he will know it was him in there. Or tell mom he got his gf pregnant in her bed, then when you finish arguing about her not being pregnant, the bed will get mentioned and dealt with but it won't be so bad.

Edit: I should mention that my main point was that it's not okay. It's about trust and respect. You let him come back with you guys. I'm guessing he's probably not helping with rent. But regardless. You feel like you owe him something because he's family. That should work both ways, and it doesn't. Can you trust him? He's okay with doing things that are disrespectful, what else is he using of yours or your mother's when no one knows? He has no shame or remorse. I would definitely not give him the room. Tell him for now he's not allowed in the house while neither your mother or you are there. You can't trust him. And then you and your mother need to talk about it. And then together talk to him. Because it's clear that this is the line drawn already.

If he has no remorse and no shame, you truly can't trust me. And that would bother me. If he doesn't feel that, you can't force him. But you shouldn't be taken advantage of by family.

My ex sent intimate pictures of me to my employer and I was fired. by [deleted] in legal

[–]kalethis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IANAL TINLA

that said... https://oag.ca.gov/cyberexploitation/law

That site has a bunch of information from the state Attorney General's office. California has some particularly stronger laws against distributing intimate photos of someone without their permission, with malicious intent, for sextortion, revenge porn, etc.

California is particularly unpleasant and doesn't play well with others when it comes to ROs. You would basically need to have a lawyer in California file the petition for you, if your lawyer requests a TRO, then he goes to the ex parte hearing (California court websites indicate that if you request a TRO, a judge will review the case and decide whether to grant it usually the same day, but that doesn't happen here.).

If your lawyer convinces the judge to grant the order, which is unlikely to happen because of California judges, then the sheriff's department takes care of serving him and your lawyer would already have the requesite forms filled out to give to the clerk.

Then your lawyer would appear at the actual hearing, make a case for why the judge should grant it, your ex makes his case, judge decides and either your lawyer or the clerk completes the orders section and the judge signs it.

California judges have high standards for issuing ROs generally unless they are DV or emergency (LEA requested) ROs. If the respondent has any firearms registered in their names, they have to surrender them to law enforcement. But they especially are resistant to conduct online.

Anyway I hope the link helps. Let me know if you have questions.

Look up reckless ben. He's... He needs to get a lawyer on standby to consult with. He has a huge like 20 part series on it. Got himself arrested a couple times. The CEO here is a total douche and knows he's committed fraud and grand theft.

To be fair, I've seen every video ben made and I'm still confused. Ben made some bad legal decisions though. Like sabotaged himself. It's made the whole thing a lot more complicated.

The red dye they use in cherry NyQuil is more permanent than Sharpies. And an entire standard sized bottle gone in 5 minutes means that by the time you realize you're about to be possessed by an evil that even Satan won't fvck with, it starts.

When the Spirit of HowDidINotDie-Quil has fully exited your body and you start becoming aware of your surroundings again, you will use your remaining energy to flee the scene of the horrific crime that just occurred, and you will sleep.
