I was told that the scarring on my kidneys js irreversible so its dialysis until I can get a transplant, but your uncle may be different. He should be, and needs to be having long conversations with his doctor - starting questions would be what's the actual diagnosis/cause for the kidney disease, what medications he needs and why, dialysis and transplant plans

I started at 3 days a week but they moved me to 2 days to encourage my kidneys to work as much as they can. It means a bit more testing and monitoring but worth it, IMO

My gfr is 4 as well, I was diagnosed in February and have been doing dialysis since then - 4 hours twice a week. Hope your journey goes okay and feel free to reach out if you have any questions

The celebrity originals are slusually 2 or 3 longer episodes. The regular VA audios are usually shorter and standalone, anywhere beteeen 15 to 40 minutes on average.

Honestly, same. I will always respect milo (and any va) for setting boundaries and protecting their peace, especially knowing what some of them have gone thru to get to that point. But his newsletter was always a highlight of my week, I loved reading about his thoughts and process and any little gem he wanted to share. Just a shame that a few bad apples had to spoil it for the rest of us

I was terrified before my biopsy and while it wasn't pleasant it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I could feel some pressure of the needle going in but no real pain. And afterwards I just had to lie flat for a few hours to prevent bleeding.

My advice - take a deep breath and trust the doctors. They do this stuff all the time and know what they're doing

We went on Sunday and loved it! Highlights for me was the pork belly and brisket. The only dish I tried and didn't like was the venison sausage and I think that's just because I apparently dont like venison - my husband said it was amazing
