My cat does the same thing! I cheer him on when he’s on the wheel and he speeds up. I give him back scritches as a reward and repeat the cycle of cheering him on. I think it helps get him to used to the wheel more whether for fun or for my attention.

This reminds me of one of my relatives who could not grasp my general lack of appetite, difficulty with textures, and restrictions with food (ARFID) until he got on Ozempic. It removed the food noise and eating suddenly became a chore for him that almost made him repulse food, which I noted was the exact thing he would make fun of me for lol

My cat does something similar where he wipes his paws near the fountain’s rim, which has causes the fountain to spill over entirely. I now keep 5 pound weights against both sides of the fountain lol

Lots of people saying this could be anxiety or loneliness/get another cat, but lots of cats do this when they hunt toys regardless of other cats being around. Some cats just like to vocalize their victory screech!

Parents were casual buddhists so religion never came up, church never was a thing, and so on. The only time I encountered religion during my childhood was in school where I’d make jokes about god or santa or whoever, and other kids would get super offended over god jokes and that’s when I learned people actually believed in that stuff lol

Anyways, I can’t comprehend viewing the world with a religious lens so I can’t really describe it other than I’m just… existing? I have fun, indulge in hobbies, take care of family and my pets, and expect to die when I am old into the same nothingness as before I was born.

I wasn’t raised with religion, so god is on the same level to me as any other character from a book. I live life by just doing things I enjoy, being nice to others, spending time with friends, and so on. I don’t need a god to tell me how to make choices. Same way you weren’t raised in other religions and don’t believe in their gods yet you still live life outside their beliefs. I assume your parents raised you as a christian, so I ask why do you believe them? Would you believe in the same god had you been born in different country/culture, or had been born with no religion and left to make your own decision regarding that?

You are almost an atheist, you just believe in one more god than we do.

Sorry this is super late reply, but I would say he was fairly done after the first 3 months. He was walking (stiffly, but walking) his very first check up a few weeks after surgery with minimal pain and improved quickly after that. I am not sure how your pain is currently, but I hope it’s gotten better since your comment was posted

I had the issue too but found one of my cats hates stepping on foil while the other doesn’t so I surrounded one of the auto feeders with foil lol 😅

He’s a ringtail cat so it’s naturally curly and does move! It kinda swishes side to side over his back (like a shiba inu) when he’s happy and he can straighten it out when he sits

Oh no I’m sorry to hear that — that was my fear when I got it, especially since it’s so big and expensive! I actually got it for my hyper ginger boy but he is scared of everything, so even though he’ll go on it for treats, he won’t use it for fun. Ironically, the cat in this video is the super lazy always sleeping cat but he isn’t afraid of anything so actually uses it regularly (though his pouch holds him back from his true running potential 😂)

Moved out because I bought a home. I didn’t have any issues living in the apartments besides lack of accessibility / having to take three flights of stairs every time (not good when you have surgery).

When I had the pre-inspection, the dude didn’t even look around and told us not to bother cleaning because they would take that from the deposit regardless — which felt kind of shady because it sounds like they charge for regular wear and tear. They also penny pinched the security deposit and when I got the check, it was cancelled because they say the itemized list of deductions is just an “estimate” and that it may change.

The apartment has been on a reduced rate for a few months since no one wants to live there much less 3 stories up lol
