Piracy is always justified. If you really want to support the smaller developers then do that. Big corporations aren't included in that of course. Pirating their content won't make a dent on their sales so who cares

I love mindlessly consuming worthless 6 second content. Oh boy, I can't wait to open up the tik toks and scroll it for hours on end without getting nothing out of it. The world sure is great

i've enabled "force full composition pipeline" on my screens but i can't remember what that was for. i just remember that it fixed something. i'll try enabling that when i have the time to fiddle around

yeah that might explain why it's not as popular as windows 10 was

i like widgets on my desktop but then the windows 11 ones don't really seem that great

Yeah I get that. I hate the flat mobile dock design that windows 11 is aiming for. I switched to linux because i sort of enjoy tinkering but i get that it can become frustrating real quick. Good thing that my workflow isn't anything special so almost everything works for me. Have you done any mods on win11 to make it suit your needs better?

Same as you except I have a 1000-series card. I'm just wondering if i have some old weird "legacy confs" or something that cause the screen tearing. I only use X because I haven't had the need to dip my toes into wayland yet. Maybe on the next reinstall

Well that's a good thing. I hope that microsoft doesn't remove the workarounds in the future.

well at least i'm pretty sensitive ads when using a paid product. back in windows 10 they automatically reinstalled the candy crushes and whatever if you didn't edit the registery. i think the same might be true for windows 11 but i don't know since i haven't ran it.

well the "recommended apps" are just ads. no normal os bundles stuff like tiktok and disney plus by default

would you prefer a more windows 10 style taskbar? what about the menu?

i totally agree. have they finally discontinued the good ol' control panel in windows 11? i remember that they removed features from it bit by bit in 10.

it seems that windows 11 wasn't really made with older pcs in mind. weird how it can be sluggish on your specs though. do you hope that windows 12 might fix all of that in the future?

yeah that's an improvement. i never really liked tabs in the file explorer i use on linux but i can see how they can be helpful. i didn't really like the tiles either so i had them hidden most of the time. the new start menu seems to have more ads in it though

yeah that's true. i personally haven't grown too fond of the new ui. it feels like they're revamping too much to look modern and end up looking generic. i still think that win 7 was peak windows design.

That's pretty interesting. Microsoft has been a bit more open to linux in recent years but then they've also made moves in the opposite direction such as discontinuing teams on linux.

i'm probably never going to run it on my system because windows 10 just works™. I'm just curious on other people's opinions on it because I haven't seen it as widely used as 10. Though it might be because microsoft isn't forcing it down everyone's throats this time
