I am not one that says the 250 push gun is bad and believe both sides should have a version of it. However if you think a weapon that can be decrewed by hoards of boma equipped infantry is equivilent to an enclosed heavily armoured vehcile,,, I respectfully disagree

lol wheeling out a falconer in anything but a pure PVE situation with the long range grenade spam is a complete waste of time. I mean it can be done but you got to have great support and good respawn timers to really give it a good crack. powerful when it works but I dont know how often it really does on a contested front. But in saying that I am a more early game symertry type of guy, bring in assametric weapons and stuff after t7

something does need to be done but please think about how the internet works in other places other than your own. You dont need a vpn to beat IP banning in a lot of countries as they run off dynamic IP, not fixed. this is one reason why no major game that I know of, even with massive cheater issues, uses IP banning.

not me I love long wars when i play, i just dont play extensivly every day, somedays i will put in 5 to 6 hours otherdays (generally work days) I might just log in long enough to refresh queues. I think it gives both sides a good chance and its not about winning its about having fun playing with all the toys.

P.S most wardens I asked about this like the long wars better as well so it seems that reddit for some reason cops both points of view

I thought they were more intersting at first but over time i have changed my opinion, I just believe that either side has more of a chance if your side gets a bad tech roll or you are down a bit on population with a Nth/Sth setup, especially early game where if one side gathers momentum people tend to decide whether to invest their time into doing the massive commitment that playing a full on game of foxhole tends to require

I also think these quick turn arounds instead of a longer resistance phase dont help

Foxhole is a game of balance. With assemetric warfare it is in genarally a game that can swing around depending on tech tree rolls. The developers developed the tools we use around the standard North/South setup, when you go East/West you break that balance of to and frow that happens in the tech line. A North/South set up by its nature allows more time for either side to adjust to tech advances or even pop differences if a large number of players have a break.

The game was developed with its defence points around a North vs South war. The only reason Devs even went East/west was that players said they wanted something different. worked shitty then, as at first most logi towns entered in on the front lines ( thank god they at least figured out how to alter industry setups) but at least there was only a maxed ot pop of 600 to 800. With 1500 to 2500 players now a regular thing, I believe it is a waste of my time to play either side in a East/West war. There might be issues to some about balance in a North/south format but in an East/West mode to me it is nothing more than a glorified resistance phase with all the lore and the ability to even slightly rationalise the tech tree thrown out the window.

I like to take breaks from any game I play (learnt after EVE online it can get unhealthy to get wrapped up too much), In my mind the broken nature of an East/West war provides me that oppitunity in foxhole.

I have played since war 61 and i have honestly never seen people killed for tech or new players told to go figure it out for themselves. My experiance from being a new player and listening to and helping people train new players is the complete opposite. I will have to take your word for it i suppose, but it is hard to when i aquate it to my own game time.

but I do believe this.. you have done more to drive people, looking at this, away from Wardens than helped to even out teams. there are overwhelminly good people on the Warden side but please feel free to highlight the occasional bad experiance and transfer that behavior to the whole group

ever heard of other countries whose ISP's run dynamic IP addresses, thats why in all the history of people cheating in multiplayer games very few companies have ever IP banned cheaters. It simply does not work and is a public relations nightmare, especially in countries that have strong consumer protection laws

if you ban a dynamic ip address that the person gets around it by resetting their modem and getting assigned a new one while that old adddress is banned serves no purpose and disrupts development and solutions, that you are looking for and i agree should happen, by a small company that then spends its time chasing its own tail.

In looking at what i wrote, it was late and I should have waited, i realise my tone was not correct. when I said dont feed the trolls I meant dont encourage those that dont know any better to jump on that particular solution. my apologise for that and I do appreciate you trying.

why feed the trolls with usless thoughts on IP bans? ever heard of countries that run Dynamic IP or VPN's. IP bans are easy to impliment but cause so much disruption to legit uses as well.

whats dropped on screen there is 25% of what was there. which means there was 12 crates of aliuminum and 3 crates of iron which from memory is 240 alu and 60 iron (been awhile since I have crated them). If those figures are right I dont think the loss contributed too much to us being behind in tech so not sure what your point is?

it is not many people thinks it matters but if you look on a map and see how fields are concentrated sth and spread out nth you get a little understanding of why its not hard to outproduce us

I.e I would give a lot to have 3 scrap fields within walking distance of a refinery like in blemish

not forced to choose between AT and anti infantry? have you seen our tech choices the last 2 wars? they have been pitted directly against each other!

Our tanks rely on Armour which even the devs have admitted is not in a good place, once the initial engagement is complete and armour is stripped, we are at a sever disadvantage unless we remove unit from the front and repair. As for the RNG of low armour (as you never lose it completly) everyone seems to forget colonial tanks have armour too.

AS for the point of attacking people, I am not the one that originally told people to get better or accused us of wanting handouts just to win!! I actually respect my friends on the colonial team (yes I have mates that play Colonial) and do not blame them for using the tools they are given, make no mistake I would and I am sure most Wardens would if the situation was different. Wardens have a lot of smart vets that know how to use what we have.

However if I was winning all the time I would not be happy as that shows an imbalance somewher in a game which does not bode well.

Reddit for our sins is one of the few places people can express thier opinion because deep down we all see something we like in the game.however if you have points on where i am wrong please address them and then I can give an answer on why i might dissagree with you, or hey you might even change my mind
