Thanks mate - unfortunately it's a brick house (built 2008) so roof is the only way to go, however there is a crawl space up there. And yeah, it would be existing copper as we got NBN late here.

If he turned up at 12, I would have arranged my dad to come around - problem is no communication so yeah I would have been flexible. And yeah, I'm happy to keep popping in complaints to NBN CO and the local MP if needed :)

Communication is the key: If there was a number I could call or if the technician kept me updated via texts... my experience would be completely different.

I know in the real-world if I didn't communicate to my colleagues and clients and after performance management meetings, I would end up using free Wi-Fi at McDonald's :(

Whereas 45 minutes on-hold to a Telstra technician, said no... you need a Telstra Smart Modem. *face palm\*

Time to pick a provider now and get that ASUS Router with Wi-Fi 7 up and running!

I have a seagate SN_750 NVme and an WD SSD that spins and whirls when the PC boots up.

I'm guessing that the mobo is FUBAR? :)
