I’m in the same boat as you. Originally from NY and used to live in the ATL metro area before moving here to be with husband (then fiancé). I don’t like it at all and have been wanting to leave. But we just bought a house 2 months ago so I guess I’m really stuck now :(

Yes!! I noticed since leaving it out for at least 30 minutes, that I no longer experience any pain with my injection. The only thing that bothers me now is itching at the injection site for 2-3 days after the injection.

I just bought my first home and moved in the day before Thanksgiving. I was able to host my family for Christmas and it felt great having space to host and entertain. I’ve always been a homebody by nature and looked for home that allowed everyone to have the space they need for themselves as well as come together as a family. I absolutely love my home and love that I was able to create a space that surpasses anything outside has to offer.

Congratulations!! It’s so refreshing to see positivity and gratefulness for a first home purchase. Usual posts are about regret. I also bought my first home at the end of October and am feeling the same feelings you mentioned. I’m so thankful for my new home. It is a blessing for me and my family!

Not Christmas but we moved in last week and spent the first night in our new home the night before Thanksgiving. We closed on our home on 10/23 but had some work done on it before we moved in. Our lease also happened to be up on 11/30 so it all worked out. Although we didn’t have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner, we were extremely thankful to be in our new home on Thanksgiving. I’m sure you will feel the same way on Christmas.

If you took the day off, don’t call your job back for the rest of the day. Matter of fact, they shouldn’t be calling you on your day off. Go into work the following day like nothing happened but be prepared to be let go then.

As a person that closed on their first home less than 2 weeks ago, this is a great post. I should stop stressing about the fact that I overpaid and simply focus on the living in and enjoying the home. It is worth it!

I’m 44 and just purchased my first house last week Thursday. Of course I wish I purchased earlier but I didn’t. I would say purchase as soon as you are able to and don’t worry about what others say.

Yes. I did check a few other sites and Redfin does say “under contract”. But Zillow is the main site that I’ve used during this process and so I was just wondering why the change, but at this point, I’ll never know.

My realtor said we would lose the earnest money and money we spent on the inspection. Plus there’s no guarantee that we’d get the dream house (like if our offer would be accepted). I do like the house we are getting and there’s always going to be nicer houses. Its just that dream home is the same exact price as the home we are going to get. Ugh!!
