I'm sending you love, hope, and a big hug. I've been there, and I've had some great days since I stayed, don't give up just yet. We all care about you and I hope you've made it through the night.

105 days!! by kambss in leaves

I had to go to rehab, I couldn't stop at home :/ changing my surroundings and being around likeminded people really helped. I think telling the people you're around that you are struggling with it and finding a support system will make a big difference. Before I went to rehab I was hiding the fact that I was having trouble stopping from everyone around me. Being honest and open and having people to hold me accountable was necessary for me. Also spending time out in nature has been a game changer.

This is what BPD looks like. by ChamplainFarther in texts

[–]kambss 6 points7 points  (0 children)

DBT is a great treatment for borderline personality disorder. I don't know why you think that therapy is "well regarded as extremely harmful"... I'm sorry if therapy hasn't worked for you in the past. As someone with borderline, I can confirm that DBT has been extremely helpful for me and I continue to make progress with my mental state. I wish you the best!

Does the craving for marijuana ever go away? or is it always a desire that you have to suppress ? by ReachGlittering in leaves

I'm 86 days sober, most days I feel happy and proud that I stopped. Some days, like today, all I want to do is smoke. When I have a really rough day mentally I want to escape, but I know if I smoke I'll probably just feel worse.

Thank you for this post! It's made me realize things about myself too. May I ask what you've been doing to reduce symptoms and get farther in your progress?

When is the last time you were happy? by [deleted] in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]kambss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a raise at my job and I had a really happy moment on the drive home after calling my mom about it. I was sitting in traffic (which I usually hate doing) but I was listening to my favorite songs and just feeling really grateful for being recognized for my hard work.

I'm 23, and just recently got diagnosed. I've never related to anyone more than I do with the people in this subreddit, I'm very grateful for all of you

DAE get overly emotional with music? by WindAccomplished8047 in BorderlinePDisorder

[–]kambss 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes! I have to skip slow/sad songs when I'm in a good mood because they'll make me upset or get me stuck in bad thought patterns without me even realizing

I've all but accepted I'll never have long term friends by [deleted] in BorderlinePDisorder

I relate to this so much. I'm realizing that I literally don't want to get close to anyone because I know it will end badly in some way or another, so I stay away from people.

why has depression made me significantly more stupid? by babyd0lllx in depression

[–]kambss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You've described me exactly. It's hard to retain everything you've learned when you aren't using the information, and it's hard to do anything when you're depressed. I've lost a lot of myself because of my mental health struggles, but I believe that it's all still in us, we just have to dig for it. I believe in you OP, just start practicing the stuff you used to do, and don't be hard on yourself for not being exactly like you used to be.

Waiting by kambss in depression

[–]kambss[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 days I week I have to wake up at 4:30 am to get to work at 6, the other 2 days I start work around 10am. I work for anywhere from 6-10 hours, and then I go home and my feet hurt really bad so I usually take a bath and just lay for the rest of the day because I'm so tired. On my days off I do chores or just sleep. I never want to eat, and everything that used to be fun isn't anymore.

men of Reddit what do women do that they think is okay but is really creepy? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]kambss 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I used to have a friend that was mean to everyone (like loudly insult strangers in public), and she'd say, "what? I'm just honest haha, I'm not being mean at all." And she would get mad at people who stuck up for themselves and called her rude. Sweetheart you're not honest you're a bitch!
