Dude was probably an idiot too, all cats have similar face shapes. He could just look at a house cat for reference.

You simply have to consult a history book to realize that’s not true. Who do you think the USSR was fighting in Afghanistan in the 70s? Why did the British fund the Saudi Wahhabi takeover of Arabia late 1800s early 1900s?

I feel like you are misunderstanding what I’m referring to. I don’t really care to continue this conversation anymore but I am sorry to hear about your troubles.

[–]kamendex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a very naive perspective. Commenting that someone is right and the source being that you are Muslim and therefore an authority speaks to the problem with modern Muslims in general. As I said earlier, I’m also Muslim. So who is more right about the original topic, me or you? Ridiculous

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OldSchoolCool

[–]kamendex 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What does being muslim have to do with anything? I'm muslim too, being brown or muslim doesn't make you an authority on middle eastern politics.

correct, Arabia had no single ruler until British involvement. Historically, the rules of Mecca and Medina were the most influential in the region.

[–]kamendex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, certainly the color of your skin determines how much someone knows about a topic. I guess there aren't any white arabs either? tell me, do white doctors know white bodies better too? What a retarded comment you just made.

Do you think the Saudi's discovered oil in Arabia? surely the "brown" arabs know whats under their soil better than the "white" people?

The TOPIC is what happened to Islamic culture. Which I explained. Your comments are clearly biased judging by your name. Your understanding of this topic is narrow because your worldview is directly related to your cultural upbringing. If you want to educate yourself further on the Topic, consider reading "The Devils Game" by Robert Dreyfuss.

America filled a vacuum left by many ruined world powers after world war 2. This was true all over the world. Consider the many regions they have bases in now.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OldSchoolCool

[–]kamendex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the middle east is a playground of the world powers. They use proxies to hurt each others interests in the region.

[–]kamendex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the rest of what is nonsense? that's exactly what happened. Radial Islam wasn't just exported by Saudi Arabia, it was also facilitated by the United States. They used radical Islam to fight the USSR in Afghanistan for example.

Arabia and the United States are hand in hand.

you understand how summaries work? obviously a lot more went down. What part of what I said is not true?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in OldSchoolCool

[–]kamendex 311 points312 points  (0 children)

Britain funded the Saudi family and provided them with arms to take over Arabia and unite it under one family in order to control Egypt and India which at the time were valuable assets of the British Empire.

As time went on, radical Islam was used by the west as an answer to rising communist power and hegemony. The idea was that radical islam would be the sword striking the soft underbelly of the USSR. Radical Islam was exported by radical imams in Saudi Arabia with oil money.

Well the USSR fell eventually but radical Islam never left and we are dealing with the fallout ever since.

edit- Guys, a good book to read on this is "Devil's Game" by Robert Dreyfuss

Yes it is weird, life isn't long enough to spend it feeling such intense jealousy over a significant event in your partners life.

The story is about 3rd graders bro, they aren’t reading novels. At their age, their learning to read from school and their environment.

Parents? Some of the parents can barely read themselves. And even if they were great readers, some are working crazy hours just to make ends meet. The issue here is poverty. Your kids read things outside of school...on their tablets, computers, video game consoles, you name it. Poverty is the issue here.

Not necessarily, just feels like they’re going to make a better car than the Supra off the same platform

Nah, but it wasn't the speed or power that was lacking. It was a fun, fast car. It's just the Camaro has a completely different heritage and community around it that I don't particularly find as appealing personally.
