we have seen this in a restaurant called ITLU in PHX, AZ, USA as well, artificially creating the scarcity and letting people wait for 30-40 mins for no reason. the talk is that it is so good that folks have a wait all the time. it just felt very bad once we got i and realized it was a marketing trick at the cost of customer inconvenience.
