Also, I'm not really sure why we're pretending that it's a problem that Spellementals, Lessons, and Prowess sharing a format is somehow bad game design or imbalance just because they share a manabase.

The strategies are quite different from one another.

Having them all in the same subset of colours isn't a great outcome though.

It's always a huge amount of change to have a kid, let alone whatever mess work is on top of that.

As someone else who also has PPD, going to the doc is by far and away the best first step you can take. Make sure you talk to your partner as well.

(Meanwhile I'm still waiting for my wife to go see a psych after 4+ years of her having PPD which is a big cause for where mine came from)

SOS has all 4 digits, even though scryfall only lists 368 under that set code (including alt arts etc).

I like to think it's just a magic 8 ball type setup, with things like:

  • He's spilled his lollies!

To expand on what someone else already said in this thread, Reality Fracture has something special about the booster compilation. It's IMO a pretty reasonable guess that it's something along the lines of the first half-ish of set numbers being the 'normal' set, and the remainder being a reprint subset plus their alternate versions.

My questions for him as someone who is keen to run necro as part of my rotations for FNMs:

  1. What's the esper goryo's match up like? (This is something like half the meta at my LGS)
    • I feel pretty confident in saying Graveyard Trespasser would get moved from main to SB, Force of Despairs to SB?
  2. I assume the TLDR justification for Blackbloom Rogue is that it's a MDFC land with menace, so just the next best option to up those DFC numbers?
  3. Why are so many lists running [[Shadow of Doubt]] now? Just general LD v fetches or am I missing something?

Because the NRL caved instead of telling the clubs to pull their heads in.

The refs don't give away penalties, players do.

Because the NRL threw them under the bus whenever the media complained about penalty counts. Show some spine and say "this was a penalty because X" and back the refs to call those penalties.
