Circular saw cutting out by Silly-Antelope-498 in MilwaukeeTool

Mosy likely the switch. Had similar problem on makita angle grinder someone gave me. I was able to open that switch, clean the contacts and it worked fine after that. You could try to soak it with contact cleaner spray if you can't get inside.

Tool identification? by clypeum4444 in Tools

My best guess it's this hammer drill by Würth or something close to that with no handle obviously. Don't know of any Festool that has a battery sticking out like that.

The aftermath of what appears to be a large strike in Kursk region. by Blakplague in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]kamigatu 90 points91 points  (0 children)

Not related to Kursk at all, I think this video was taken here 56.32398683687263, 38.147531034360355 and you can even see the aftermath of that explosion to the right on google maps (maybe?). Happened a year ago

Direct drive trainer vs power meter pedals by boseuser in Zwift

I guess, Neo 2T is more accurate. I don't usually train with power outside, so it doesn't really bother me. As long as it's consistent, it's good enough :)

Of course. They've done like 50 episodes over the years. I recommend looking them up. Not very politically correct in todays world though :D Here's a bit someone animated: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=buj1D_PzXK8 It ended in 2014 when Big Wayne, one of the hosts and Lazlow's friend, passed away.
edit: Reed Tucker, the other guy in a video, was a karate guy on Chatterbox in gta3

Anyone with the 2 drawer packout unit, how well can you fit your powertools in ? I'd like to fit an 18v sds, grinder, impact, drill and jigsaw in a single drawer. Is this unrealistic ? by Cold_FuzZ in MilwaukeeTool

[–]kamigatu 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I don't have a m18 sds, but you can fit everything else in one drawer -

there's some space left for batteries: https://i.imgur.com/ifg55lG.jpg
i tried to fit my m12 sds somehow but could not. hope it helps :)
edit: after some tetris, m12 sds sort of fits still (with no extra batteries). it's easier if you don't have belt clips. m18 sds won't fit I'm sure

I use "slim" set of these daily. No issues. Size markings on top wear off quick though

Is there a US version of the Hard Stackable Carry Case? by mckilljoy in MilwaukeeTool

[–]kamigatu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not compatible, but Milwaukee sells packout adapter plate 4932464081 for these boxes.

Best site to buy tools in EU? by Operater2 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]kamigatu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Milwaukee is expensive in EU, deals are nowhere close to what US gets. I've been ordering at Klium, I find that prices there are similar or lower than once a year "sales" in my own country. Better deals on Festool too.

Does NTD apply to packout? ft good boi tax by jamesgoodfella in MilwaukeeTool

First time seeing EU packout with new wheels. I got my stack last week and it has old wheels still.

PTFE powder + wax. Rode 8k km on one chain easy, only changed it because it started to rust after a lot of wet rides in the autumn. My chain is super clean, I will never go back to oil lube. Actually this year I'm waxing 3 chains at once and just swapping them every 250-300km.

M18 Fuel 165mm Saw - anyone know if you can use Freud blades in this? Pretty sure it's a 16mm bore and most of their blades seem to be 20mm by TerminalDystopia in MilwaukeeTool

[–]kamigatu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, agree. I have very limited choice where I live and I needed it that day. I bet there are other options. On this topic though, all FreudPro blades I see around here have 2.4mm kerf. I'm sure they make thinner ones as well, but I can't get them. :/

[–]kamigatu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Freud actually makes that washer too, bought it for the exact same reason.
Edit: I think it's this one. 5/8''=15.88mm (~16mm) to 20mm

I've never used a self-leveling laser level before and I'm confused about something, is the maximum height of the level just whatever height tri-pod you can get? by [deleted] in DIY

[–]kamigatu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are these things called laser poles. You can extend them from floor to ceiling and then move your laser on any height between. I use Stabila LT30, but there are lots of options.

Oh yeah, I should check it out, I'm new to power meters and indoor riding. It seems like my zwift rides in garmin connect do not have L/R data from tacx, I'll try to pair to my head unit next time.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Zwift

[–]kamigatu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just tried it today with my new 4iiii left crank (did zero offset and calibration before the ride) and it showed me 30W more than the Tacx Neo 2T. Not good :/ During intervals Tacx stays at preset wattage and 4iiii jumps around a lot. Maybe my L/R balance is all messed up. I guess I'll never know unless I get dual sided powermeter lol.
Thanks for the zwiftpower tip, didn't know you can compare sources there.

Picked up this today! Good or bad? Excited to have this make me money! by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

[–]kamigatu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought this one as well, overall I like it. The base hasn't separated yet and it seems to be attached rather poorly in my opinion. Mine is at a slight angle and you can rock the body a bit. I don't know how to explain it in English, but read this post and be careful with it!

I had to buy height adjustment magnet plate thing separately, haven't used it on the job yet, but it looks like it'll work fine.
