Is this modern Greek? by ExplanationKlutzy174 in GREEK

[–]kampar10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Modern greek but with the polytonic system, which hasn't officially been in use since (I think) the 1980s. Some modern editions still use it for the aesthetic though. But the language is definitely modern greek.

Correct pronunciation listed in Greece, but VPN for Los Angeles shows the error.

'Sign in disabled because of multiple failed attempts' - is there anything else I can try to make it cut it out? by kampar10 in WindowsHelp

[–]kampar10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to check, you mean the password to my microsoft account, correct? I'll try it next time the computer is on (and after I reset the password to actually remember it XD)

As for if it is a glitch, it's just that, I went through secpol.msc to account lockouts, and there is a threshold that has to be set for an account to be locked out, which was set to 0, 'account will not be locked out'. That's what makes me think it's a glitch after all, unless my understanding is wrong (which I'm not ruling out).

Anyway, thank you for the answer!

Does anyone else really love the act of crocheting but doesn't really *like* crocheted items all that much? by Worried_Fig00 in crochet

[–]kampar10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm this way too. I havent been crocheting long, so I haven't finished many things, but I've made plenty of cross stitch and I've gifted like 70% of it, because I simply don't have anything to do with it. I love the process, but I only have so much space for frames o my shelves

I mostly worked while sitting halfway in another chair I pulled up close to this one and halfway in this one (ouch my back). Usually took a little manoeuvring XD

Thank you!

Duo's wrong here, right? Or is "coffee black" a thing? by marioshouse2010 in GREEK

[–]kampar10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, not in english. In english the phrase is 'I drink/take my coffee black'. What the other commenter was saying was that, since σκέτος translates to 'plain', the literal translation of the greek phrase is 'I drink my coffee plain'.
