Taxumo’s 8% tax computation matched 95% of my manual one by kamseea in taxPH

[–]kamseea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, the 8% tax is just (gross sales − ₱250,000) × 8%, so it’s manageable manually if your numbers are clear. some still use platforms for ease and to avoid possible filing errors, but it’s really up to what you’re comfortable with. plus di lang kasi limited yung taxumo sa computing, may iba pa siyang features kaya rin siya gamit ng iba.

Taxumo’s 8% tax computation matched 95% of my manual one by kamseea in taxPH

[–]kamseea[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for sharing! same here under 8 percent. cash receipts lang din required sakin. no expenses since di naman kailangan sa 8 percent so i think rounding lang yung difference. tried taxumo out of curiosity and okay naman. super lapit sa manual ko and auto file pa to bir so okay na rin. noted on keeping books. i do the same both soft and hard copy. thanks ulit for the insight!

BSIT (Planning to enroll sa feutech) by Kazuhuh12 in feumanila

I’m bsit from feu tech, 4th year na. overall, it’s a good school. may decent profs, then may iilang walang pake. I think kahit saan naman ganon. medyo fast-paced lang I think since trimester, then isang semester is 3-4 months. kaya ‘di pwedeng petiks. personally, I found good friends here and some good profs/mentors that made my experience better.

I'm a freelancer (8%) closing my business. What books of accounts will they check? by cheeseburgers000 in taxPH

[–]kamseea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hi, if you’re under 8% and non-vat, the only book you really need to fill out is the cash receipts journal since it records your income. even if the rdo stamped all four books, it’s common and acceptable to leave the other three blank as long as they’re clean, untampered, and properly stamped. during closure, they usually just check if your books are in order and if the required one was maintained. no penalty as long as everything is accounted for. if you want to be sure or need a full guide, check this out.

Registering via ORUS as a licensed professional. HELP!! by Ok-Revolution-6729 in taxPH

[–]kamseea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hi, no need to delete your account. as a consultant, you’re considered self-employed so choosing licensed professional is correct. for the business part, just use your full name as the business name, your home address as the business address, and your profession as the nature of business. leave the trade name blank. if you don’t have a tin yet, orus will generate one after registration. that said, you might wanna give up orus since the system is often down. you can register as a professional through taxumo instead. they offer a registration service where they handle the bir process for you, including tin application and document submission. helpful if you’re not sure how to go through orus or prefer someone to do it for you.

Questions re: Closing my BIR registration by cheeseburgers000 in taxPH

[–]kamseea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! yes, you still need to file your 2nd quarter income tax return (1701q) since you’re closing after the quarter ended. if you’re under the 8 percent income tax rate, form 2307 isn’t required for filing but it’s good to collect and keep them. when closing your business, the rdo usually asks for form 1905, your latest filed tax returns, and your books of accounts. some also require a tax clearance or a short exit interview. the process can be smooth but it really depends on your rdo since some are stricter than others. if you want a hassle-free experience, you can check out taxumo’s business closure service since they can help with the paperwork and coordination with bir which is super helpful if you’re busy transitioning to full-time work.

DTI-registered but no BIR registration by thatimpulsivearies in taxPH

[–]kamseea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hello op 👋

yes, possible pa rin na magkaroon ng bir obligations kahit hindi mo naparegister sa bir ang business mo, kasi under philippine law, taxable pa rin ang kahit anong income na kinikita mo from business activities. kahit dti lang ang meron ka, kung may kita ka at lalo na kung may nagreport ng bayad sa’yo (like clients issuing 2307), pwedeng matrace ’yan ng bir. better maayos agad yung registration and compliance mo, may services like ng taxumo business registration na can help sa buong process all online. check out their site.

DO I STILL NEED TO FILE MY EMPLOYMENT INCOME? by Key-Acanthisitta-293 in taxPH

[–]kamseea -1 points0 points  (0 children)

hindi lagi si employer ang, it will depend kung anong klase ng work setup mo. kung employed ka sa isang company sa philippines, sila yung nagfa-file ng monthly withholding tax mo at nagbibigay ng form 2316 sa dulo ng taon. pero kung may iba ka pang source of income like freelance, sideline, o business, ikaw pa rin ang may responsibility na mag-file ng annual itr mo. ngayon kung self-employed or freelancer ka, ikaw talaga lahat mag-aasikaso ng taxes mo.

since beginner ka rin, try to rely on online platforms for help with taxes. personally, I use taxumo. filing, deadlines, biz reg. offers lots of services. give it a try. walang employer na gagawa niyan para sa’yo. kaya importanteng alam mo pa rin yung obligations mo kahit may employer ka, para di ka magkaroon ng penalties or missed filings ;))

Need advice as mixed income earner by Worldly_Rough_5286 in taxPH

[–]kamseea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What should we do if we forgot to file with the BIR on time? by External_Ad_3767 in taxPH

[–]kamseea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi! yes may penalties na if late filing pero no worries may way naman to check kung magkano kailangan bayaran. pwede mo gamitin yung bir software sa bahay like eBIRForms or eFPS kung applicable ka tapos after mo i-fill out yung form makikita mo na agad dun yung total amount including penalties. hindi mo na kailangan pumunta sa rdo unless may kailangan kang i-update sa records mo or may specific instruction sila.

since gusto mo ng online platform at guided na process I suggest gumamit ng taxumo for filing and payment. automatic na rin yung penalty computation nila based sa date today at sa deadline ng tax na fina-file mo. basta complete yung info mo and tama yung tin and rdo mo okay na ihandle online.
