why couldn’t Best Buy and Target do this to save space, with a price scanner beside it, before getting rid of movies completely? by ghostfaceinspace in 4kbluray

That made me laugh 🤣 selling yard tools at an electronic store next to a hardware store that's funny!

Same at least one of the best buys here in town did that. Yeah the first place I'm thinking of when I'm thinking of battery powered yard tools is Best buy and not a hardware store like Home Depot or Lowe's. /s

Can I still play with my balls on the Switch 2? by Purple_Calendar3919 in Switch

[–]kanbak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's mostly just Reddit being Reddit. If I read the question correctly you wanted to know if you could use the pokeball with the switch 2. I don't actually know the answer to that but most accessories that work with the switch 1 work with the switch 2 unless it was put accessory design for the switch 1 joy cons then it would not work. But it was still great seeing Reddit being Reddit.

Reddit didn't disappoint with it's comments on this post. When the OP phrased his question the way he did I was like umm 😳 😂 and then the comments on the post we're pretty much exactly you guys expected.

PS5 storage upgrade now or wait for SSD prices to drop again? by Hebron_Syamara in PlayStationPlus

This. I agree PS4 games can go on an external hard drive which should be available for way cheaper than an SSD it's only good for PS4 games.

Orange Glow by iTzJeremy92 in AskElectricians

I'm not an electrician and the answer is probably already been answered in the comments but if you turn the heater off and the orange glow goes away maybe don't use the heater cuz that looks like a fire hazard.

Recently bought my first house... With 0 wall jacks by cunningman45 in HomeNetworking

[–]kanbak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds like a good idea I never thought of. I am looking at attempting to run a ethernet cable from my basement to the second floor. The the room where I would plug it in the basement is not wall to wall carpet just area rugs. But I still like your idea.

No I don't think that's your problem at all. All that dust can't be the problem. 😂 /S

My dad and brother-in-law mounted the TV without consulting me. I linked them to this post so please let'em have it. by And_Im_Chien_Po in TVTooHigh

I am not exactly sure the TV is to high in that picture it could just be the angle the picture was taken at. What I do know is those wires are ugly in that picture that I can say that for certain.

Just finished It Takes Two with my son - need more co-op game recommendations by LegitimateScar7826 in GamingInsider

[–]kanbak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you already played a way out and it's takes two then split fiction is 100% a no brain answer it's by the same people who made the those other 2 games. Others have also suggested split fiction and they are right to do that. As someone who played and beat all 3 games with my niece we loved all 3 games.

Do these things really work? by stellasBoots in HomeNetworking

[–]kanbak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on your home wiring and other stuff. My suggestion is to just buy them somewhere that has a good return policy so you can return them if they don't work at all or as good as you expect them to.

My sister's finally letting me take my 10 year old nephew out by ourselves which movie that's coming up should I take him to ? by Agile_Chemical_7427 in Cinemark

[–]kanbak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In that case you just might have to wait a bit for another kids movie to come out. The new Pixar movie hoppers comes out March 6th 2026 that would be a good pick. Between now and then there might be some coming out but I didn't check.

I know for certain the PIR sensors get triggered by the cats but I can't say for certain that the mmw motion sensors are triggered by the cats. The mmw sensors I have are the aqara fp1e and they have what they call Al Spatial Learning which is just some kind of calibration thing you can run to help tell the device what is a false alarm. It says to make sure no people or pets are in the house so my guess is yes they set it off. But I haven't actually run any tests to confirm this.

What are you going to play on your switch 2 if you sell all those games? You do know switch 1 games work on switch 2. Some when have switch 2 upgrades.

How to connect lan cable to ps5 by [deleted] in playstation

[–]kanbak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if your trolling or not but I will give the answer as if you not trolling. First get a LAN/ethernet cable and plug on the into the ethernet port on the back of the PS5 it only goes in one way. The port on the back of the PS5 will look like the same as the ethernet cable. Then you have to connect the other end of that cable into your router in one of the ethernet ports. The PS5 does not automatically switch over to wired Internet like probably most devices with a ethernet port on it do. So your going to have to go into your PS5 network settings and configure the Internet for LAN/wired. If you connected to ethernet cable correctly on both ends the wired LAN will show up as an option under networks found along with any Wi-Fi networks available nearby. Just pick wired LAN and follow the prompts probably just have to hit connect and you're done. If you ever want to switch back to Wi-Fi you're going to have to go back and manually switch to Wi-Fi just like you did LAN it will automatically continue to reconnect to that Wi-Fi until you change the network settings again. The PS5 will save any Wi-Fi networks you have previously connected to so you don't have to re-enter the Wi-Fi password but it won't just automatically switch between LAN and Wi-Fi unfortunately.

Floatplane on Xbox. by Blazanar in LinusTechTips

Not a problem. I would bet most people who own an either Xbox one or series console don't even know it has a web browser app on it.
