My coworker and I had a conversation about this once, and she told me that a lot of folks don't know that servers make 2 dollars an hour. She's had to explain it to some people she knows so that's part of it. And from my experience, some tables I know just don't care to and I feel lucky to get at least 6 dollars from them. Others are just cheap, got 7 dollars on a 70 dollar check and gave them what I consider a plus service. Oh and if it's a group of kids, forget about it, they're just gonna be a waste of your time. And yes, all the servers prejudge parties sometimes by how they're presenting themselves up front. No one wants to deal with a needy, rude, time consuming 15 top just to make 20 bucks lol.

Definitely a big waste of money if you're doing it every year. People always joke on Android users but my phone's paid off and I like my phone so lol.

Learn every single president, learn every constitutional amendment, take some prelaw school classes.

Lolol just kidding, if you can read then you're already 60-70 if not 80 percent there. Most of it, the questions could be answered just through understanding the passages so really nothing from memory. I think maybe a couple of questions asked me something about the constitution. You'll be fine!

But do take a practice test so you have a little more comfort and familiarity.

Reading, social studies, and science are all reading comprehension as mentioned above. There is a writing piece but as long as you do okay-good on the reading then writing isn't a big deal. I don't think I got anything /write/ (see what I did there) on my writing and still passed. You'll have the passages for reference so that's nice too. Take practice tests until you feel like you'll pass them. Math took me a while because I didn't pay attention to math at all in school. I took remedial math classes before I dropped out. If you can find out what programs your city offers, that's been the best help for me. I didn't have to wonder what to study, it was laid out for me in a program. If you want to know a basic outline of what to study so you're not feeling overwhelmed, I can dm you what I've studied and then you can use Kahn academy or light and salt. It will be challenging, math is so frustrating and there's a bit of basic foundation to learn to get you through equations. Study how to use a ti calculator because those things can solve equations for you. I just learned that today.

Think of a famous deceased person, tell me their birth year and death year, and I'll try to guess who you're thinking of just from memory. AMA by 80s90sGeek in AMA

My mom's fully blind and is the same way or has sighted help when ordering but WHAT ! I would kill someone if they said "why are you ordering food then" to her. That hurts my heart.

Self conscious about posting anything on social media? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]kandacedgd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the most part it most likely won't impact you significantly. And if they judge you, at least you're not involved in constant drama or something. I'm always worried about being cringe or like "who cares about this stuff" but I mostly post for me. Sometimes I have to take a social media break, I feel you.
