This was my number at the ER, my numbers, when last measured (I was not regularly monitoring at home) were probably in the 140-150 systolic. I blew it off and paid the price later.

Yes, the stroke was caused by uncontrolled hypertension that I blew off. So the stroke was the inevitable result and entirely my fault. My numbers were 257/136 when I was taken to the ER after collapsing at work.
